Empire Today Flooring, Empire Flooring Empire Today...a Nightmare of Lies tomorrow Northport Illinois
Dear Consumers,
I purchased laminate flooring costing over $6,000. from Empire.
The salesman came to our home and we explained that we have a dog who has occasional accidents. We asked his opinion and he explained that if we bought a material they would put under the floor, for an extra price, this would be our answer. We asked if laminate would be the best thing since we heard that vinyl might be better but, he assured us. Of course we eagerly ordered.
The installers came and left a terrible mess. We asked to please clean up all of the McDonald's cups and plates and bags they left in our bedroom of all places. They were nasty and rude and out of sheer disgust, I took the garbage and threw it away. Several months passed and my husband almost broke his neck down the stairs. We called Empire and someone came out and said the nails were never put into the threshold. Was this a message from the installers?
Now, we have had a few pet accidents and I called Empire. They came out and said there is no manufacturing defects and so we are stuck, expensive undercoat and all.
I spoke to Helen Brown in the corporate office who makes the world's fastest talking person look slow. She pushed me off to Tim Sherwood, who identified himself as a Customer Service Manager. He was nasty and didn't want to address that the salesperson had lied to us. Sold us a bill of goods and at the end, he agreed "we are stuck".
I am wondering if there are others out there who are willing to start a class action suit. In this economy and with these big ticket items. All we ask is the truth..is that so difficult.
