Regarding prior complaint(s) about ePenzio on your site. I do not believe that ePenzio should be included on lists of ripoffs, scams, or con artists. I think this is just a case of a misunderstanding caused by the consumer (or the company) not maintaining contacts regularly, since this happened to me also. The company has put up new web pages at a new web address. The old info was under www.epenzio.com and a related site at www.penxware.com. I found the current website at www.penztell.com. T

To my knowledge, ePenzio is still up and running, and still [providing legitimate services to many small businesses. I hope this report will help other readers to make the needed contacts.

#2Consumer Suggestion

Wed, August 14, 2002

Robert, I need to let you know that Epenzio is just a reseller (unfortunately they're not an honest reseller) of merchant account. They told me that I can't cancel the buying term of the merchant account but I can sell it if I don't need it anymore. I was also told from the speaker of the seminar (last name is Balaji) that the merchant account will be mine forever because I bought it. Actually that's wrong. Today I just called my bank to ask about merchant account. As I had suspected before, a merchant account is like a checking account or your home phone number. You can't sell it to someone else and you don't buy it from the bank. When you need it, you can open an account of merchant account. When you don't need it anymore, you can close it. That's it. I also get the same response from Bridgeview bank & trust, which Epenzio said is the one that handles the money received from credit card transactions, that a merchant account can only be owned by 1 person/company. It can't be sold to other person/company and you don't buy it. You just open the account and then use it.

Have you looked at the complaints here. I don't think any of them are complaining about not enough communication with epenzio. I myself was LIED to at the seminar by the epenzio rep. that was there. There was direct communication at the seminar, she lied right to my face and now will not take the responsibility for her lies. I think everybody here wishes it was just a case of not enough communication with them. The only communication that comes out of them now is PAY and PAY NOW!!!!!!
