I've recently signed up for a few adult internet sites. Hey, what can I say, I'm single. Anyway, the online bill processor who processed my transaction was Epoch. It's a good thing I was paying attention when I made these purchases.
Each time, I was charged an extra $1 for a trial membership to VideoXXX.com. This doesn't seem so bad, until you see that you will be charged $39.95 per month after the trial period, unless you choose to cancel during the trial period.
So, I sign up for access to a website, and I'm automatically charged $1 for access to another website which I didn't want access to? And then if I don't cancel the access to the second website during the trial period I automatically start getting charged a lto more on a monthly basis?
Epoch is clearly preying upon people who are not paying close enough attention, or who afraid to complain to a third party because of the nature of the services they proccess payments for. This is an unethical practice, and considering the number of other complaints on this site, I don't think they will be in business much longer.
Oh, almost forgot. Ripoffreport.com, DO NOT use all capital, red letters when typing "Here is a list of things that would make it easier to read you complaint." It makes me think twice about whether or not I should file a complaint or take this website seriously.
