I purchased mailing list data from Exact Data. I paid $1335 for a total of 1200 data records. The specifications for data purchased included postal mailing addresses and names for:
1. Current governors of the 50 U.S. States
2. Current mayors of the 50 largest cities in the United States
3. Current CEOs or Chief Strategy officers of 2017 Fortune 500 companies
4. Directors of Training, VP of Training and Development of Fortune 500 companies.
The data that the company provided is all trash and does not meet any specifications in our contract. E.g. 1. List of governors has 55 records, in which there are 4 governors listed for Utah, five for Connecticut and 4 for Oregon. (even a third grader would not put together such erroneous data) 2. In the list of mayors, nine of the largest cities in USA are selected from MN, and cities like Los Angeles are not even in the list. Oakland in CA is repeated four times with four different names for the Mayor. 3. The list of CEOs and Training Directors, Chief Strategy officers has been combined and is completely inaccurate. 250 records out of 958 records provided in this list have the title agency owners for Allstate Insurance Company. Many other titles included are owners, salon owner, website owner and front-line manager and data about random people. There are only 40 training related job titles in the whole list.
The client services team is completely unresponsive, even though the sales consultant initially acknowledged that he has opened a research ticket and the client services will get back to me to address the issues with the list. I have repeatedly tried to contact the company through emails, phones, website chat but am unable to get a response. Completely trash data. No way of contacting client services to get it corrected or even request a refund.
