I provide Cross Border Remittance - that is, individuals can go online at our site, use a card, and send limited funds to family and friends outside the USA. I called First Data to get a better arrangement for card processing. I explained to the First Data rep on the phone that this was online for fund transfer out of the USA> "No Problem" was the reply.
We talked. He emailed me a contract. I signed, scanned and returned. Sounded both great and easy. I immeeitaly started receiving emails about card authorization equipement to be sent to me. I called to stop that from happening, and learned that this group of First Data does not provide international fund collection / distribution. From that point on, I tried unsuccessfully to cancel the contract which wsa provided in false pretense. No luck.
Now, I am receiving a collection notice for a number of fees, including a fee to set up the contract that I signed. If this is how Forst Data works (Express Merchant Processing Solutions), then this is very poor. My guess, the Rep made a commission on every contract signed. I want this and the fees to go away.
