I recently placed my first, and now only order, with Extreme Restraints - I liked their selection and was hoping to order much more from them in the future. Sadly for me, I did not read reviews of the site beforehand.

I ordered about $35 worth of products, because money is quite tight right now, what with my boyfriend's student loans and us planning to move soon across country, and it was a birthday luxury for me to order something so frivolous at all, something I was really looking forward to. I read the return policy very carefully just in case, and selected the cheapest items of the kind I was ordering so I could afford it.

When I received my shipment, they had sent me $200 worth of extra product, and I realized they had charged this money to my credit card (not, you understand, the amount that I authorized to be charged to my credit card - I double checked at the time to make sure I would still have enough in that account for rent).

I assumed this was a simple error and immediately emailed the company to let them know there had been a mistake and that I was willing to send back the products I did not order in their airtight plastic wrapping immediately, and to ask if there were any forms I should fill out or anything else I should do to assure getting my money back.

I was told in no  uncertain terms that what I was describing was impossible, I must have deliberately placed that order, that I should have read the return policy more carefully, sorry for any inconvenience, etc. When I reiterated that I had not authorized that much money to be put on my credit card, and shouldn't the company be at least concerned that this had happened, I got the exact same response - the same when I called to try to deal with the problem over the phone. They did not even seem interested in the effect something like this would have on their credibility and kept insisting that it was my fault, even though I clearly remember looking at the total I was ordering and looking at my bank account. As a result I barely had enough money to make rent and groceries - this company is willing to take advantage of their customers and then blame the customers for their theft.
