Fairbanks took over my mortgage loan in June of 2002. Towards the end of June, when I noticed that my July payment check had not cleared the bank,I contacted them. I informed the company that I was placing a stop payment on that check. I issued and over nighted another check.

That payment went threw with no problem...However, a week into July, I received a letter from Fairbanks stating that they were charging me a NSF fee. I immediately contacted them and was instructed that I had to fax a letter to dispute the charge. Fairbanks had attempted to cash the canceled check. I did so...waited a few days and called back.

I talked with a "Doris" of Fairbanks on 7/22 and she informed that the situation had been taken care of; however they would not be able to send me a letter to confirm this because that was "against their policy". I took her word for it. Plus no late fees reflected on my future bills.

March of 2003 I paid over the amount of my payment and requested that the money be applied to the principal. When I received the next months payment, I noticed that this had not occured. The extra money was applied to "other". I contacted "Corlis" of Fairbanks and she informed me that the money was applied to a NSF fee in July of 2002. I explained the situation...she said she could see were the mistake was made on their end. She promised me a letter from "Christina Jones" her supervisor stating that there was never a NSF fee on my account and showing where the extra money was applied to the principal.

The letter never arrived...I contacted them today. Talked with Maricez who promised me that Christina would call me back within the hour...No phone call,therefore, I called back requesting once again to speak with a Christina. I was told that I could not speak with her and transfered to a Kimberly. She informed me that the situation had not been resolved and that "Christina" would have to review the account.
