I am shocked to see all of these reports, I thougtht I was alone. About a year ago, I was having problems paying my mortgage. I sent in a payment and it was placed in a suspended status and they never posted it, so I then went into a late payment. I then called and and I was told that my suspended payment was disbursed and I was all up to date. I then mailed my nest payment in the following month. I then get a notice that I am going to be repossed etc. and to call to make an arrangement. I called customer service and I was again assured that I was all caught up. My next call from fairbanks was to tell me I now owed legal fees in excess of $1400 and If I did not sent $1000 overnight I would be foreclosed on. I asked where my payments went and I was adivised that they applied them ALL to late fees etc. They couldnt provide me with a printoutnor would a supervisor speak to me. I was told that the payment arrangment of $700 a month for 6mos as opposed to my normal pmt of $400 was all I could do. I couldnt get a name of the attorney and what the $1400 was for and was advised to send a letter to the greivance dept, but to pay the $700 payments in the mean time, which I did. I now find that no response to my letter was done, because the greivance dept no longer exists, and I am bacically SOL. I am so disgusted I wish I had let them reposses my house. I have went to great lengths to get answers to where my payments and my $1400 in so called legal fees went. I wish there was something I could do.
