I have written my own report and updated it a month ago. I too am in the same boat except my nest egg became a second mortgage. I have done research on Fairbanks, spent several hours on their website, logging in my account number & creating user ID's. You can print all transactions for your account up through Jan 2002. Take the time, you'll be suprised what you would find. I printed over 40pgs of all transactions, fees occured (not detailed) but they were there. When I went to closing for 2nd mortgage, the payoff increased serveral hundred and Fairbanks refused to release information to attorney as to why. My attorney issued a dispute on my account, long in behold I get a package in the mail about 30pgs from Fairbanks with a detail summary of what charges they have charged me for...So far they are paid current, now on my due date statement for April 01,2003 they show I am in the RED 150.00,How can this be, they just got $28,000 Now they want more$. My advice take the time research your account and have an attorney look at it. Mine Is.One more thing, 2 1/2 weeks have gone by since they got their $, still no discharge from the court of my foreclosure being revoked. BE-AWARE.
