Fairbanks has sent out letters to file a claim for settlement. They have ruined my credit because I had to File chaper 13 to keep my house. The $ 1400.00 is only a fraction of the money I had to spend to keep my house from these crooks. Now I get a letter saying we goofed. My credit is shot and my life was close to being over. I have moved on taking a hard lesson.Questions: Should I sign this letter and take the tiny settlement and chalk it up to experience? If I don't sign it will I never see a dime? Is there any Lawyers on the case so I can join in this fight to help others from their scam? HELP !

Which is listed on the back of my statements. It took 5 weeks and 2 payments later for them to post the check that now had a stop paymnet on it. After reading all of these I have looked closer at my statement and I see where they reversed my stop payment posting but the 2nd payment after that one I am going to have to call them and go thru this mess of talking to 2-3 people before I get a slcak off answer. I want to REFI but how do I not know that every time they "LOOSE MY PYMNTS" they are not reporting negativle to my credit bureau. If there is a class action suit I would like to be a part of it.

This website has been my main focus today. I know the feeling of helplessly being ripped off and we must not let this company get away with it. I e-mail the Oprah website under new show ideas and in my letter I directed her to look up the Rip Off Report pertaining to the Fairbanks Capital Corp situation. I suggest others e-mail their suggestion also and other Media sources to see if we can get the type of help that reaches not only web users (as everyone affected does not have internet) this way we can get a better idea, also of how wide spread this monstrosity really is. thank you
