Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My Husband and I were contacted by a person named Vince who said his company was part of a government program designed to help people like us modify our home mortgage loan to get a cheaper interest rate and that we were preapproved . At first we were very leary because we were questioning the fact that we needed to pay $2000 in closing cost and we didn't understand why. He was very convincing and after weeks of speaking with him and the fear of losing a great interest rate we decided to move forward.

Our family was going through a financilly rough time because my husband had to have back surgery because of a work injury and was only on disability. We could not afford that kind of money at the time but thought in the long run it would help us. They also told us not to pay our other morgages because it would be added to the loan. After one month of not paying we started to get phone calls from our mortgage companies; Wells Fargo and Landmark Credit Union and since we have just great creidit we ended up having to pay two months of mortgage payments which really drained our finances.

Every week we had to fax them documents; pay stubs, taxes, copies of bills, etc.  A different person would contact us as we moved from stage to stage. We were contacted by someone in March saying that everthing was being submitted and that it would be processesd in 90-120 days.

We have not heard anything since. I have called all the numbers I have but only get a busy signal. I have also emailed everyone we had contact with but I have not heard anything back. We have no income right now because my husband's job cut him off of disability and permanant disability has not kicked in yet. He has also applied for Long Term Disabilty but that will not be approved for awhile. We need that $2000 back because we could potentially lose our home and this money would help.

We thought this was a government program and it is really disgusting that a company is allowed to stay in business when they are ripping off hard working people who are looking for ways to save money and stay in their houses.
