This is a word for word copy of an email I received from a former Farrell employee. I have her permission to post it. She said she doesn't like to sound like a disgruntled employee, but feels that potential clients must know the real truth.

This is quite a shocking email.

Hi, this is Erin, an ex Farrell stylist. I have so many stories about Richard, his wife Laura, and the company until i don"t know where to begin.

Farrell Hair is the first hair replacement company I've ever worked for which ive been for three years. I never knew anything about hair replacement in my 14 years of hairstyling so i believed everything he told me and was impressed at first by what I saw. I didnt know any better at the time. As time went by and i began to excell at this industry, I guess I became intimidating to Richard. His ego wouldnt have anyone upstaging him.

Despite the embarrassing appearence of the NY salon, I continued to work and do my best to excell in this company. Ive gotten attached to the clients and them to me. It got to a point where I was basically ordered to lie to clients about the products. Excess hair fallout where clients needed sometimes to get 5 hours of hair additions every two weeks on new systems at 55 dollars an hour. I would try to work with the clients but my hands were tied. Richard complained that I was too attached to the clients and to get as much money as we can because the company needs the money. His molds and orders were usually very sub par at best. Systems not fitting, clients with total alopecia with whats supposed to be full caps stopping at the middle of thier heads and when the clients complain about the lack of coverage, he'd make me charge them an extra 500 dollars to add a back that should of beed there in the first place. He would never take responsibility for his errors. His motto was always "blame the client". Either they are rough with their hair systems or they all change their minds at the last minute when their systems come in. When I'd bring these things to his attention, he would always tell me to collect the money before Id cut them in and "make it work", despite the obvious errors in his orders. He would also yell and cuss me and other employees for agreeing with the clients when pointing out these very obvious mistakes. And God forbid if I had to remake his mold and order forms.

I and other employees in his company has endured sexist and racist comments from Richard. I, being African American, was very offended when hed state that "all black people are ghetto and think we know it all", and other things too many too say in one email. I began to feel that I was hired only because of my background in all hair types, but he didnt respect me at all. I guess African Americans are only good enough for a dollar to him and nothing else.

I thought that Richard really felt the plight of people with hair loss but i soon realized his company is a mere vanity project for his own self praise and indulgence.

This is a ridiculous post by a disgruntled employee who is try to get clients to leave Farrell and go to her.

This email has no real issues regarding Farrell hair systems or Farrell as a company. Erin is an angry disgruntled ex-employee shouting out about things not real hoping that people who read her post will leave Farrell and bring their business to her. Farrell doesn't hire by race, they hire by talent. They don't see color, we see humans. Erin happens to a 6'4'' male African American pre-op transexual who Richard personally hired. Farrell is proud that our staff has always been a combination of different cultures and sexual diversities. The Farrell's even defended Erin's transexuality by terminating an employee who refused to call Erin SHE. Erin is now selling factory mass produced systems. We wish her the best of luck but she should try to sell her systems on her own instead of needlessly embarrassing herself by posting this type of trash.
