I'm having a difficult time seeing the ripoff in this report. This bank hasn't charged you a late fee (which they would have by now) and hasn't done anything to your credit report. The only complaint seems to be that the due date landed on a Saturday. That's not unusual under current regulations and your payment will be ontime if received by Monday.
" This dishonest policy of disallowing same day ACH payments on the due date is never a problem with our dozen credit cards "
No bank processes ACH transactions on a Saturday. You can submit a payment over the weekend, but it is held to the next banking day, which would be Monday.
" If payment is really due on a Friday, don't falsely state it is due on a Saturday. "
If your payment date is on a Saturday, by law it is due by close of business Monday, but they can't arbitrarily change the due date. If you have 12 other credit cards, I'm suprised that you have not noticed this before.
" Vote with your pocketbook by staying away from banks such as Fifth Third. "
You seem to have worked yourself up into a lather for nothing. Good luck finding a different bank that doesn't follow the exact same rules.

This sounds like a Credit Card, and if so by law they are required to have the payment due on the same day every month. They can not just make it due on (for example) 12/7 if your normal due date is the 8th of the month. So there will be months when a payment is due on a Saturday, Sunday, or Holiday. However, as part of this if they do not process payments on a day the payment is due. Then again by law they must treat the payment, if received by no later than 5PM on the first business day after the payment date, as being received on-time.
As for the damage to your credit. The first negative mark on your report is for being 30 days late, so 1 day(or even 29 days) will not effect your credit report in a single way. Now, if you were delinquent and this payment put you beyond the 30 days then yes you could be reported late...but then again you had 29 days to make the payment and not be reported so they would really not be the ones to blame in that case.
Figuring that all your payments were not delinquent, the question is were you charged a late fee. If you were charged a late fee when you talked to them what was their reason for it.
