First Extended Service Corporation 2007 Dodge Ram bought brand new & also purchased extended warranty (Scammers) Dallas, Texas
We have been having ujoint and driveline issues. We bought an extended warranty with First Extended Service Corporation when we first purchased the truck brand new. The auto repair shop we took it is an authorized dodge repair shop with our local dealer. We bought it at another dealer but they are 3 hours away so took it to nearest shop. So the dealer who has all the knowledge and expertise to make repairs told us what was wrong after they replaced several parts on our vehicle. (our vehicle is like new with only 50,000 miles on it and babied - i drive my 92 year old grandma around along with my children)
We are being told by first extended service corporation that they won't repair the drive shaft problem because we are careless drivers and damaged it ourselves. (92 year old frail grandma goes with me all the time plus children & no speeding tickets on my or my husbands records) We have never been in the ditch or put any heavy loads on the truck. The contract says in big bold black and white that drive shafts are covered and they are giving us the run around and using terminology to try and get out of the repair by claiming we drive recklessly.
It will make a good small claims case - they won't win. To top it off while they are keeping our vehicle hostage cuz they are so dishonest - my 14 year old son was medivaced to a hospital 3 hours away for an emergency appendectomy and we had to find alternate transportation to get there because our only vehicle was in the "shop".
