First House Financial LIARS, CON-ARTISTS, RIP-OFFS, SCAMMERS! San Francisco California
When I heard about First House Financial they made it seem like they had access to all the homes and that you could go for a walk-through at any time. He said click on the houses I wanted to see and someone would contact me to set up an appointment. Of course I never got that call.
I called them back saying no one has responded to my requests to see the homes. First, they pretent that they are going to get in touch with the bank for you and see why they are not responding to your request. Then, I was informed that I needed to contact the homeowners with a template of a letter they already had. Once I realized what the program was really about I immediately requested a refund and was told that I would have to wait 90 days.
These people are nothing less than con-artists!
My 90-day waiting period is up and I've been calling all morning. Guess what? When I call I get the automated message advising which prompts to press. Well, I never get anyone. I am then holding for somone to take my call, which so far no one has then the call is just dropped. This has happened so far about 5 times.
I am going to continue to try calling and I have also filed a complaint with the BBB. I work for a law firm but the attorneys I work for are extremely busy and I am reluctant to get them involved because of this. I just want my money back PERIOD.
The homes they have listed are not theirs, this is no special listing. Foreclosed homes listings is public information. If I had known what this was, I never would have signed up. It's funny how when you call to cancel, they block you from their site immediately, but you can't immediately get your refund from these people.

I have contacted the BBB about First House Financial (FHF) thinking this would yield some results but it did not. The BBB merely acted as a go-between; FHF and I only emailed each other back and forth. Needless to say, nothing came of this.
I ended up contacting the Attorney General's office for the state I live in. I received correspondence saying I have cause for mediation and they will try to help me recover at least some of my money.
I urge anyone who has been ripped off by FHF to contact your Attorney General's office. To date, my case is still being investigated so I haven't received anything back from FHF yet, but I am hopeful.

Through BBB, I have been in contact with First House Financial and they are full of lies. They blocked me from their site as soon as I said I wanted to cancel and they are saying they never did and that I have a lifetime membership.
They are telling me that I failed to meet the refund criteria which I was never notified about beforehand. I need 5 denial letters and other documents in order to obtain a full refund.
That being said, I am looking into filing a class action lawsuit against FHF. They should not be able to do this and get away with it. I am looking for anyone who is willing to join me in my lawsuit. I have spoken to 2 attorneys who say it sounds like I/we may have a case because it is a scam.
