Home Owner Date Nick Fitzgerald Date

I was approved for a small line of credit loan, and signed the above contract and mailed a check for the deposit of $2,360.00 on September 20, 2007. The check was cashed on October 3rd 2007 at Washington Mutual Bank Plano, Texas 75093-5156.

As of today April 21st, 2008, four windows have been delivered to the home and not installed. My last correspondence with Nick Fitzgerald as on or about early November of 2007, when he committed to commence work the first week of December 2007. I have attempted to contact Nick Fitzgerald weekly since November of 2007, he has yet to return any of my telephone calls.

Nick Fitzgerald convinced me that he was an honest and reliable guy. He initially returned every call I made, met my parents and assured me on multiple occasions that he could have the work completed within one week. I'm still paying the loan back (with interest) the roof continues to leak and the windows have yet to be replaced.

I've filed a compliant with The Better Business Bureau in Dallas and they have made several attempts to contact Nick Fitzgerald regarding the above referenced complaint. And regretfully he has not responded resulting in the closing of the complaint as Unanswered.

I find it comical that one can post and damage one's reputation "anonymously".  This is crazy in that the damage to one's reputaion should be accountable of sorts....beyond anonymous BS statements.  You should be so lucky yourself, perhaps I can comment anonymously to your neighborhood peers, and employment.

I've known Nick for over thirty years.  He has worked on my family's homes, my neighbor's homes, and several of my friend's homes.  He has gone from a small family business, to a multi million dollar enterprise, back now to a retirement size business.  Never once have I had an issue with scope of work, loss, nor point of contact.  All of my concerns had been remedied more times than I can count.

Nick, his family, and his business have renovated my home twice in thirty years.  Various upgrades, and projects have also been completed throughout my property.  From simple to complex, he has been the only person to work here.  He has aged better than I have, but to do what he has been doing, for me...makes me happy and blessed to keep him coming back.

As of today, Monday, the 24th of March 2014, he has just completed an eight window replacement, a chimney masonery rebuild, as well as a two slope roofing replacement.  The scope of work was fairly immense, and from start to finish, he took all of five days to do it.  Money well spent EVERY TIME.

Come by my house, any time you like.  My name is posted, and I am easy to find.  36 years in the same home, and plenty of before and after pictures to show.  Thanks Nick, once again...and to all you BS anonymous fruitballs out there...from me to you...#$%k yourselves!!  AND SHAME ON YOU for attempting to soil such a long working DFW native son anonymously!

Mr Smith (Happy New Porch Owner)

Unfortunately you have become another duped person in the Nick Fitzgerald saga.
Your comments only come at the expense of the unwitting victims of a thief. (Convicted of his crime in the courts of our land)
Although Mr Fitzgerald (Nick) is charming and convincing he has intentions that harm others. You make no reference to such actions other than to condone them. Thus, your the unwitting victim. He has convinced you he is the victim, when he is the perpetrator.
Not once not twice but several times he has stolen money and you are only one of the lucky ones. Frankly the only one who is foolish enough to believe this person Nick Fitzgerald.
Condoning such actions is just wrong. Shame on you.

Nick Fitzgerald of Fitzgerald Builders bid lowest of the nine contractors who bid our front porch job.  He did everything he committed to do in the time he estimated.  We have a beautiful front porch for less than half the highest bid.  He then called us several times in the months after completion to ask if everything was OK.

I asked him about this complaint.  He said the lady's windows were delivered to her house by the supplier, then they were stolen.  She was responsible for their security.  She would not buy replacement windows and immediately filed this complaint against him, because he wouldn't buy replacement replacement windows.  He ceased the work, pending the resolution of this complaint.  He spent her deposit on the windows and materials and the work that had already been done.  So, there's nothing he can do.  He said he tried to talk to her about the problem six times.  But, she was rude and profane and wouldn't listen to anything he said. So, he gave up.

I feel Nick's a man of his word and a great contractor.  Out of over four thousand jobs over more than thirty years, I feel that two complaints, two hard-to-please  customers is a great track record.  You can't please all the people all the time. And, there are some people that just can't be pleased.

So, please, don't hold these two complaints against him.
