I find it comical that one can post and damage one's reputation "anonymously". This is crazy in that the damage to one's reputaion should be accountable of sorts....beyond anonymous BS statements. You should be so lucky yourself, perhaps I can comment anonymously to your neighborhood peers, and employment.
I've known Nick for over thirty years. He has worked on my family's homes, my neighbor's homes, and several of my friend's homes. He has gone from a small family business, to a multi million dollar enterprise, back now to a retirement size business. Never once have I had an issue with scope of work, loss, nor point of contact. All of my concerns had been remedied more times than I can count.
Nick, his family, and his business have renovated my home twice in thirty years. Various upgrades, and projects have also been completed throughout my property. From simple to complex, he has been the only person to work here. He has aged better than I have, but to do what he has been doing, for me...makes me happy and blessed to keep him coming back.
As of today, Monday, the 24th of March 2014, he has just completed an eight window replacement, a chimney masonery rebuild, as well as a two slope roofing replacement. The scope of work was fairly immense, and from start to finish, he took all of five days to do it. Money well spent EVERY TIME.
Come by my house, any time you like. My name is posted, and I am easy to find. 36 years in the same home, and plenty of before and after pictures to show. Thanks Nick, once again...and to all you BS anonymous fruitballs out there...from me to you...#$%k yourselves!! AND SHAME ON YOU for attempting to soil such a long working DFW native son anonymously!

Nick Fitzgerald of Fitzgerald Builders bid lowest of the nine contractors who bid our front porch job. He did everything he committed to do in the time he estimated. We have a beautiful front porch for less than half the highest bid. He then called us several times in the months after completion to ask if everything was OK.
I asked him about this complaint. He said the lady's windows were delivered to her house by the supplier, then they were stolen. She was responsible for their security. She would not buy replacement windows and immediately filed this complaint against him, because he wouldn't buy replacement replacement windows. He ceased the work, pending the resolution of this complaint. He spent her deposit on the windows and materials and the work that had already been done. So, there's nothing he can do. He said he tried to talk to her about the problem six times. But, she was rude and profane and wouldn't listen to anything he said. So, he gave up.
I feel Nick's a man of his word and a great contractor. Out of over four thousand jobs over more than thirty years, I feel that two complaints, two hard-to-please customers is a great track record. You can't please all the people all the time. And, there are some people that just can't be pleased.
So, please, don't hold these two complaints against him.
