Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
First of all, this company has no verifiable information anywhere on the web, so I was skeptical and worried at first but I figured maybe I wasn't searching correctly. Whenever you search for them, you only get info from badcreditoffers.com or some other bad credit card offers website. This company is bogus and needs to be stopped! Also, their customer support runs from 9am to 5pm (not 24/7 customer service) so why wasn't I more careful?

I received the suggestion to apply for a prepaid debit card with Flexcard Hybrid Program Prepaid Visa from badcreditoffers.com.  This is a total rip-off. Somehow, the suggesting website says this company is good for rebuilding your credit. Thats total crap. From the moment you try to apply they have pop ups everytime you click ok, finished, done, or apply.  There's one after the other after the other. They won't allow you to get through to the end of the application without applying for a cash advance of up to $1500. You have no choice but to give them your routing & account numbers in order to process the card.

Also, in order to receive this prepaid card, you must also receive an unsecured credit line of up to $10K to an online bookstore, calling themselves thecreditbuilder.com. Who's gonna buy $10K worth of books & ebooks that nobody reads. They have no popular books you want to read or anything of interest. Just old outdated books that no one would even go to the library to check out.

I applied for this card and gave them $39, then it says "to double your credit amount, click here to pay just $25 more." So I did and wham....they took my money in less time it took me to blink. That's a whopping $64 in order to receive a card that you have to put your own funds on (that you can just get from walmart or any drug store / corner store for $3-$5), and another card for some ebooks and old books that nobody wants.

Immediately after applying, I called them at (5610 921-2600 to request my money be refunded ASAP!!! The person who answered the phone is at home and you can tell. This is not a company.... these people are in a house and only 2 of them answer the phone. A lady and a man, and the man's name is Jason.  They told me that my money will be refunded back to my card within 5-7 business days (stressing business days twice) and that I did not need a confirmation number or email confirmation.  We'll see if they refund my money and I will post whether they do or don't by August 12th 2011.  The woman was yawning and still had her morning "just waking up" voice.  I was totally amazed at this scam and she didn't even care to hear why I wanted my money back. She just told me that the card for the $5K approved credit line is for buying things. When I asked her who would want $5K worth of books, she just said she'll refund my money but the way the conversation went, I think I may have to go through some hell in order to receive my money back from this rip-off "company" that's running out of a house with a kid in the background.

They are located in Delray Beach, Florida.... and I guess since they saw that I was in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (not too far from them---only 1 city away), they rushed to tell me that they would be refunding my money because I can easily track them with the police here.

If you would like to receive a credit card and you have averaged to poor credit, do not use this company.  HSBC Orchard Bank is the best company to go through aside from  Citi Bank and Capital One. These banks also report monthly to the top 3 credit bureaus for you.  Orchard Bank will give you a credit line of at least $320 as long as you pay your $19 application fee up front. If you dont qualify for the unsecured $320 credit limit and they suggest a secured credit card, keep trying. Somehow their site suggested it to me after 2 attempts at the prequalifying stage.  Also, I have a friend who did prequalify for a secured card from Orchard Bank MasterCard and while she waited for her instructions in the mail, they actually sent her a card with a $300 limit on it instead and she did not have to put up the initial $200 or $300 secured funds. Orchard Bank & Capital One are just the best when it comes to bad credit card offers when trying to rebuild your credit.

Again..... DO NOT APPLY FOR THE FLEXCARD HYBRID PROGRAM VISA CARD OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT FLEXCARD HAS TO OFFER. THEY DO HAVE COMPLAINTS WITH THE BBB AS WELL SO CHECK IT OUT.

I would like to send a message to the management and owners of the so called Flexcard Visa Program.  Reading your responses to the complaints indicates to the reader that you are indeed a company with questionable standards.  Using a customers name is the first mistake, taking the time to respond to each posting or complaint is another questionable act, what company does that.  Put yourself in the consumers shoes for moment, how many honest and respectable companies sit and answer comments like these, answer "NONE".  This company is clearly a scam has more time on their hands than they should, maybe if you answered less of these comments you would be able to get the cards our to customer that are waiting for them.  It's just a thought!

I think that an outside opinion is necessary in this...I am an individual who WAS considering signing up for this card, but began reading reviews first, and I'm terribly glad that I did. As a  highly intelligent individual when it comes to marketing/sales I can say that this company has done a GREAT job...deceiving people, and slandering them.

Any company in the world that handles information such as this yet feels the need to show superiority by calling you out by your name shows how unprofessional they truly are.

In addition to this regardless of whether you're" following htthe correct procedures" your interpersonal skills are severely lacking.   Calling persons (passively) ignorant, and saying that "This customer is another victim? Maybe a victim of not knowing how to read" is just a clean example of how childish the customer service department there is.  If this is in any way an indication of the managerial skills then it's no wonder you're receiving complaints from people.

All of your rebuttals are childish in nature, and you're failing to even make the same point you keep stressing due to you not having enough to support it.  my suggestion would be to quit while you're ahead, before someone sues you.  There are millions of attorneys CRAWLING this website in search of the next big company to go Pro-Bono against.  I would suggest shutting your traps, and realizing that you've been beaten before you ensue a class action lawsuit from the individuals that you've scammed.

This customer is another victim? Maybe a victim of not knowing how to read. Our website clearly states that the line of credit is for our online store only. Additionally, the refund email is not setup to apply for another card it is to request a refund. If he doesn't want to fill it out then do not fill it out.

It is unfortunate that three people out of ten of thousands can attempt to smear the good name of a company. If the author of this last post or anybody is unhappy with our services we welcome them to call us directly as opposed to writing a passive aggressive post.

Thank You,

I experienced the same exact issue as others. The website for the Flexcard Program is misleading. If there was any explanation that the credit line would be for book purchases only, I would NOT have applied. I requested a refund immediately and the customer service rep advised they would email me a form and told me they would refund my money. The email form is a link to apply for the same card all over again!! I copied an email they sent to me stating they would refund my money.
I have also contacted my bank to dispute the charge and WILL involve law enforcement (for fraud) if I do not receive a refund from them as promised.

Unsecured Revolving line of credit

We appreciate that you were professional in your disagreement and would like to clarify. The site says an unsecured revolving line of credit, not an unsecured credit card. Additionally, the application page clearly states that the line of credit is to be used at the credit building store. We would be happy to discuss this matter further if you have any questions or comments. Thank you for your response.

Valerie and Crystal:

We would like to address any and all of the issues you mentioned. Please see below-

1.Line of Credit Statement / Not on Website-

Our application clearly states through words and pictures that our program is a 3-1 program consisting of a GPR Visa, up to a 10k line of credit with our store and a cash advance. If you have any recommendations on how to make this more clear we would love to hear them.

2. Refund 10 days-

Again, we pride ourselves on customer service and all of our representatives are trained to issue refunds if a customer is unhappy, which we did in this case. The refund had nothing to do with Crystals geographic location. In regards to the seven to ten day refund  comment we have no control over this time frame. We use a merchant account to send and receive payments. When refunding a customer the electronic processing takes seven to ten days.

3.Knowledge of Crystals name and identity-

It wasn't very difficult to deduct that Crystal was the person in Tamarac, Florida who came in on the same date as this post. We at no point provided any personal information about her. All of our customers information is PCI compliant and 100% secure.

4.Crystal's Contact number-

After this post we attempted to contact Crystal at the number provided on three seperate occasions with no luck.

5.Crystal's comment about her knowledge of the products on the credit building site-

This comment shows that she obviously knew that the line of credit was for products and she was simply dissatisfied with said products.

6.Orchard bank's line of credit-

In one of the posts above, comments were made about Orchard banks 320 line of credit after paying their security deposit. If anyone is looking for a $300 line of credit we urge them to go with this product. Orchard bank is a great company.

I am so glad that someone else is here to verify that this company is very bad in the way that they mislead consumers and misrepresent their products. Thank you so much for proving that the employee of this company is totally lying. I promise, people, when you see the above mentioned statement from the company, you will see they'll tell you about $10K unsecured credit limit..... and when you try to find out what that credit is for, you are not able to see until after you pay your hard earned money. When you do pay and get a password for the "unsecured credit limit" website to get started, you find out that it's only for books that nobody wants to read. Who wants a $10K credit limit for a bunch of books???? Are they serious??!!??!! The library is open everyday and now we even have access to books online from the library....ever heard of ebooks??? And yes, from the library, even that is FREE!

And if they have no intentions on misleading consumers, then why would they make sure the unsecured credit limit website is a secret (can't see the products) until AFTER you pay your money? These people are here to try and rip us off. Period.

Run people Run!

Total Lie!

First of all to even say my name at all shows that this company is extremely unprofessional so advice to all..... RUN RUN RUN. You show how bogus you are by the reply you made. I am hiding from you in no way so yes my name is Crystal, but if you were such a wonderful company, how do you know exactly which customer I am if my statement is untrue??? You just proved not only how bad of a company you are, but how ignorant you are by showing that I'm telling the truth because if I wasn't you would be wondering who I am instead of immediately knowing. Second of all, you never tried to contact me, my phone number has never been disconnected in 15 years so you are full of crap. You are a liar and I'm glad people can see this posting. And furthermore, you stated my phone number when I called you and it was correct then and is still correct now so you never tried to contact me at all. When I contacted you about my refund, you did not immediately refund the money "within a few minutes" as you said, you said "Ok, we'll refund your money within 10 days!"very hastily and hung up on me. I called back to speak with someone else and he told me the same thing except he was a bit nicer about it in order to patronize me so that I would not be as upset as I was and get off the phone. I'm still upset. By the way, you never denied the child in the background as you know that's true too. Get some real customer service and a real company instead of having the whole family in a 3500 SF office. That means nothing. In south Florida, anyone can get office space where the rent is free for 4 months.... please deny that.

This is not a misunderstanding. If anyone goes to apply, it gives you a credit limit to a secret website and you cannot see what the products are UNTIL AFTER YOU GIVE YOUR MONEY!!! At that point you are given a password to see what the products are to find out that they are old books that nobody wants to buy $5000 worth of.  That is not a misunderstanding of what I applied for, it is a clear misrepresentation~its called trickery.I did file a report on this company as others did (No I am not the only one....just check the BBB) and I reported you to my bank because you did not refund by money in time so I changed all of my bank information against this fraudulent company.

Thanks for proving how horrible your company is by showing extreme unprofessionalism (calling out a customer's name), proving that I was correct (knowing exactly who I was), and showing the bad customer service. Your reply proves my complaint and I'm very glad you did.  All Smiles......

At least if anything happens with my social security number or any other personal information, I will know exactly who to sue since I see your unprofessionalism. Take notes people.... this is proof that FlexCard Hybrid Visa Program is NOT a good company to go with.

Sincerely,

Customer Revealed by the unprofessional company (Crystal)

Line of Credit Statement / Not on Website

I beg to differ with the owner of the email reply to Crystal.

This is what your website states regarding the line of credit:

In addition to reporting your daily card activity, FlexCard Hybrid Program Visa Card offers an UNSECURED revolving retail line of credit up to $10,000, which will report as an open and active revolving account to the credit bureaus. This line of credit will report to the credit bureaus as a traditional UNSECURED credit card and add an open and active account and build your total positive credit history.*You do not need to utilize this line retail of credit to build or rebuild your credit profile, as all of your account activity reports to the bureau.

You said it clearly states how and where this line of credit was to be used.  It does not.  This information is directly under your heading "line of credit".

Very misleading and misrepresents your company.  I would suggest all interested parties in your service do their due diligence before proceeding with signing up.

This slanderous post was written by a woman who's first name is Crystal. To protect her identity we will leave her last name blank. Our website clearly states that we are a 3 in 1 product, which includes a GPR Visa, an unsecured line of credit that can be used at our online store and a cash advance all in one.

Our 3500 SF office, which Crystal is more than welcome to come to, is located in Delray Beach Florida in the Bank United building, not a home address. Additionally, we never force anyone to purchase our product by any means.

It is our understanding that this customer misunderstood what she was attempting to purchase and we promptly refunded her minutes after she finished our application. Customer service is our number one priority. Additionally, when we attempted to contact Crystal on the phone number she provided to us to discuss this matter, the number was disconnected. Seems odd that a person applying for credit would use a false number if her motives were honest.
