When you take the new car back to the dealer, take the police with you and any paperwork you have to show that your owned the trade in, what year and make it was. If they refuse to return your trade in, make a formal theft report right there on the spot. If this dealer got rid of your trade in before they finalized this deal, it needs to be considered stolen property. As for the person claiming how much work it is for a dealership to get credit for a person with no credit or bad credit, I know exactly how dealerships work. I used to work for one. When I purchsed my new truck I financed through my bank.

DEALERS DONT DONATE TRADE-INS. WE HOLD IT TILL THE DEAL IS FUNDED. IN MY EXPERIENCE, PEOPLE THAT GET WRITTEN AT HIGH RATES LIKE YOURS ARE OFTEN DUE TO THE FACT THAT THAY DONT KNOW WHAT A STAMP TASTES LIKE AND THEY DONT PAY THEIR BILLS. IF YOUR TRADE HAD BEEN SOLD YOU WOULD HAVE RECEIVED WHATEVER TRADE ALLOWANCE WAS ON YOUR CONTRACT. THIS BUSINESS IS SO HEAVILY REGUALTED IN THIS STATE THAT IT IS JUST NOT WORTH THE RISK TO VIOLATE ANY LAWS. IF YOU HAD TO REWRITE SO MANY TIMES ITS BECAUSE THE DEALER IS TRYING TO KEEP YOU IN THE CAR, AND PROBABLY HAD TO LOSE MONEY TO GET THE DEAL APPROVED ANYWAY. PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE UNGRATEFUL WHINING WASTES OF TIME FOR THE DEALER TO TRY AND HELP. CONSUMERS FREQUENTLY DONT REALIZE THE PAINS THAT A DEALER HAS TO GO THROUGH TO GET SOMEONE WITH BAD CREDIT FINANCED AND FUNDED. USUALLY PROBLEMS ARISING WITH REWRITES HAVE TO DO WITH CONSUMERS NOT HAVING "ACCURATE" INFORMATION DISCLOSED ON THE APPLICATION. WHY DOES NO ONE DO REPORTS ON CUSTOMERS WHO LIE CHEAT AND DEFRAUD DEALERS. IT HAPPENS A LOT MORE THAN YOU HEAR ABOUT IN THE NEWS AND TO MUCH LARGER DOLLAR AMOUNTS THAN YOU WOULD THINK. EVERY ONE THINKS A DEALER HAS DEEP POCKETS SO THEY CAN RIP THEM OFF, OR THEY CAN AFFORD TO LOSE MONEY TO SELL THEM A CAR OR BOTTOM LINE GET SOMETHING THAT THEY DONT DESERVE. AS A WHOLE EMPLOYEES OF DEALERS ARE GOOD WHOLESOME POEPLE WHO HAVE FAMILIES TO FEED AND QUITE HONESTLY HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO THAN TO NOT GET COMPENSATED FOR THEIR TIME SPENT ON PEOPLE LIKE YOU. YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY AND WILL ALWAYS CAUSE PEOPLE GRIEF BECAUSE YOU THINK THE WORLD OWES YOU A FAVOR. PAY YOUR BILLS AND DEAL WITH LIFE FAIRLY.

Hmm When you say "donated" your trade in...Did they tell you that? Cause thats is probably a lie. Most times dealers whom take a trade in will send it to a wholesale car auction if the vehicle is not one that they want to keep in their lot. Regardless you are at least owed the amount they gave you for the trade in value of the vehicle..And if I were you I would demand blue book value see www.kbb.com although what they qouted you on trade was probably black book "wholesale" Tear into them use your resources. In fact when I sold Acuras...We had a guy so pissed of at us he practiced one of constitutional rights and picketed us for 3weeks with a sign saying how we had ripped him off...Truth be told we did nothing wrong but some money made the guy go away. You have rights they CANNOT do that to you on your trade your issue is a compensible one!
