This company, For the Record is a monopoly. As a customer who needs an audio file I went the courthouse and bought it. THEN I HAD to download this HORRIBLE software to LISTEN to it. THEN TO SHARE IT you HAVE to BUY THEIR software for $149.00 to convert the file so others can hear it. THIS IS ROBBERY. PLEASE courts DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM. They are thieves!

This .trm is OWNED by fortherecord.com They have a monopoly on this, and you CANNOT convert it unless you pay them $150 for the manager that is required to convert the file. I called, and was told that, so here's what I did. Took my cell phone, started playing the CD via FTR's free download, recorded the court hearing, and instantly I had an MP3 record without paying FTR a dime. Thought I'd pass this on since they are forcing ppl to pay $150 IF they want to share the recording that THEY bought at the courthouse. Courts do not use this software. It's a scam for those who have to buy your CD's
