I Moved into Foxfire Apts. In March of 2005. Upon speaking with Management during the application process of course no information was given in reference to the terrible roach infestation. I noticed the first roach issue within the first 3 days. I opened my dishwasher and roaches came scampering out. I was disgusted to say the least. I called the complex to report the issue they sent out their local pest control company. I figured okay well this will make this better, I was aware that the roaches would begin to come out more because of the treatment, but I had no idea what I was in store for. 3weeks later still roaches, roaches, and more roaches. I opened the cabinet one morning and 3 roaches fell out, As I watched 2 more scurry into the cracks of the cabinet. I began bagging up all of my groceries in my cabinets. Everything is sealed in plastic now. I contacted the rental office again complained of roaches. They again sent out the pest control people. To no avail the roaches are still here and worse than they were last time. As a matter of fact I've been getting exterminations about every week since I've been here and no change for the better. Last night I opened the dishwasher and killed 3 roaches, then this morning I opened my dishwasher at 6:45am and you guessed it roaches scampering all over my dishes. I walked into the bathroom in the middle of the night and watched 3 roaches scurry underneath the tub, which by the way is supposed to be sealed to the floor. I watched two more run into my bathroom pantry closet. one crawling up the wall from the bathroom to my bedroom and under the bathroom sink which also is supposed to be attached to the floor. I'm sick of asking foxfire rental agents to rectify a problem that obviously will only be resolved by tearing the building down and starting over. This has caused me severe psychological trauma, because I'm terrified of bugs. Oh did I mention I woke up on Saturday morning pulled back my covers to make up my bed and you guessed it a roach in between my bed sheets. This place is horrible and I am now trying to figure out what my rights are, so that I can get out of this lease without being penalized for it. I want my money back and my deposit too. Foxfire should be taken out of the apartment rental guides until they get it together. I'm believing most of the tenants at foxfire either don't know where to begin to voice their complaints or perhaps they aren't bothered by the issue. I have never lived like this before and don't intend to continue doing so. I am now afraid I will have to get rid of my electronics and any furnishings because, as we all know roaches hide in dark places, and if you take one roach to a new place that's free of roaches, it won't be for long !!!!you'll end up with a million.

I guess you can see where my frustration is coming from.

They supposedly did that twice since I've moved in, I find that hard to believe at this point. Unfortunately I have to work during the day as do my neighbors so noone can verify that it's been done... but thanks for the suggestion. I guess you can see where my frustration is coming from. I've contacted A lawyer and am awaiting instructions for my next move. Again thanks for all the great suggestions *smile*

If your apartment is infested as badly as you indicate, then there is a good chance that other apartments (or the entire building) are infested. Treating only your apartment will not eliminate the source. If other tenants in your building are experiencing the same problem, I suggest that you approach management as a group and insist that they do a thorough pest treatment on the entire building.

Thanks for the Advice, but I've got roach baits and boric acid down per the pest control people and ya know what, No success with that either.. after 3mo I shouldn't be seeing any.

Jamilla: We also had a terrible roach problem. I went to Lowe's and purchased roach bait and poison. We haven't seen a roach in a year! Send the receipt to Foxfire for reimbursement. Good luck
