I work at a FM in the Portland area. I feel bad that the customer service associate or manager did not explain to you the reason behind refusing the return. Things like Ticketmaster tickets, buss passes, fishing licences are sold by FM ,but we don't own these entities. We are bound by their policies, because we don't actually own the products, but we are acting as an agent to sell them to you as a convenience so you can buy these things when you purchase your groceries. When we refuse a return on these items we are following the policies set for us by that company. If we break thier policies they will no longer allow us to offer these conveniences to you. I hope that you will understand what I am saying and possibly give FM another chance. I have worked for them for 15 years and have always been treated fairly, and the benefits and pay far exceed what is offered by similar retailers such as Wallmart and Target. They are not perfect and do make mistakes sometimes, but in my experience we try to resolve it to the customers satisfaction if we can.
