Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I booked through a national company (Worldwide Moving Systems) and they unfortunately subcontracted my move to Freedom (I did not find this out until the movers actually showed up at my door). Freedom showed up at my condo building on a Monday to pick up my belongings and the movers were slow and unprofessional. They also broke an expensive lamp in the common area.

For the next week, I had to call everyday to get any information about a potential delivery date. No one ever returned my call. I dealt with Maria, who was confrontational and never gave me a straight answer. Finally, I was promised a delivery on the following Thursday.

Sure enough, I call on the Wednesday before to check on the status and Maria tells me the truck broke down. Maria never calls me back with any updates as she said she would and I had to continually call her to get ANY information about my belongings.

I repeatedly told Maria that I was starting a new job on the following Monday and I had to have my stuff before then. Nevertheless, they schedule my move for that Monday. Then, I was promised a delivery time between 6 and 8pm and my stuff didn't show up until close to midnight because the driver forgot that he had to make another run before mine. The driver also got lost multiple times (and I live on a major road in a major city).

All in all, this is the WORST WORST WORST experience I have ever had with a company. They do not care about their customers. Please I beg you to avoid at all costs!

Anonymous, don't bother with Freedom's "Claim Department", it's Anthem Claims Management, the champion of the claims denial. Their client list is a log of Who's Who To Avoid In The Moving Industry. Maria, do you not accept personal checks because of the time the woman stopped payment on hers, and the embarrased driver tried to claim that this small lady crushed his hand in the moving truck door? Did you fire that guy or is he still scamming for you? Tell me, have you yet paid the almost $10,000 in fines the DOT slapped on you in March and last May? Should I also mention the 8 drug and alcohol charges your drivers were given on 5 separate occasions, both drivers and co-drivers? Tsk, tsk, all those safety violations. One might think their stuff wasn't safe with Freedom Moving & Storage. You may hide behind a schedule technicality on your contract, but you can't escape the fact that your company SUCKS and NOBODY should use Freedom Moving & Storage. You have 46 BBB compalints in the past 12 months, and you only own 4 trucks. That's poor odds. You SUCKED as AAA Moving, you SUCKED as Prime Moving, Nation Movers, Quality Movers, and Empire Movers, and you SUCK as Freedom Moving.

To whom is may concern, LET'S ANALIZE THE ACCUSATION FROM MS. S. We were scheduled to pick up the her load on October 30th in GA. By our contract,we have a maxamun of 14 BUSINESS days for delivery, and this starts FROM THE DAY THE CUSTOMER IS READY TO ACCEPT DELIVERY! We picked up her load and She notified us that she would be ready to accept delivery starting November 1st. We delivery the customer on the 13th of november. That puts us WELL WITHIN OUR TIME FRAME! (9 DAYS to be exact) There was no guaranteed delivery date or no promises made to this customer in regards to her delivery, we tried to deliver this customer as soon as possible like we do to all of our customers. Tring to provide the best customer service for this customer , like any other, Ms. S, spoke directly with the supervison, Maria, and got all of the facts in regards to the delivery, unfortunately, the facts were that the truck broke down and that would put a delay on her delivery (MIND YOU< STILL WITH IN OUR TIME FRAME) Ms. S was notified, how many days it should take to get the part, what ciscumstands surround the GETTING of the part and how long it would take to fix the truck. ALSO, Maria, let her know that we were looking at all of our options, inregards to re-routing another truck or renting a truck. Maria let her know that she would be intouch as soon as everytihng was ready for the delivery. Please be advised that the customer could or wanted delivery after 6pm in order not to miss a day of work, which we accepted and respected and did. Please keep in mind , as well, that this is business is based on transportation and unfortuanetly due to different ciscumstances we can experiance delays that are sometimes out of our control and we could be left at the mercy of machanics and their schedule. (weather, machanical, traffic, ect.) This is the reason that we COULDNT PROMISE(and never promise) a definet delivery date. Before delivery, we provide a 24 to 48 hours notice. On sunday , Nov. 12th, Ms. S was notified of her delivery for monday between 6 to 8 pm, according to her request. Balance needs to paid in certified check, MO or cash. On monday, the day of delivery, the driver spoke with her one time in the morning and one time in the evening, always letting her know what his progress was. HOW MANY MORE PHONE CALLS, YOU STILL NEED IN ORDER TO GET ANSWERS??? WHEN WE GOT TO THE CUSTOMERS HOME, THE METHOD OF PAYMENT WAS A PERSONAL CHECK, EVEN AFTER, YOU KNEW, SIGNED AND ACKONOLEDGED THAT THAT WAS NOT A METHOD OF PAYMENT ACCEPTABLE UPON DELIVERY, AND YOU KNEW THAT THAT WOULD CAUSE DELAYS. WHY? How could it be that the driver got lost multipal times, and, you live on a major road in a mejor city? All of our truck are equipt with GPS systems, so we can avoid that kind of situation. we do understand the inconvinience of the customer, of the broken lamp, that is mentioned ONLY in this report. We do have a claims department that will more than happy to take care of that. We are tring to understand why Ms. S is pleading a begging to avoid our company, when we tried to do everything we could for her satisfaction and futhermore, we didnt break our contract at any time!
