I wanted to cut the cable.  Here in Denver we have Comcast and Century Link.  No real choice.  I found Freedom Pop and, even though I realized their use of FREE all over the place couldn't be true, they had a plan that looked good to me. 

SO ... I ordered their expensive modem and was pleased when, after plugging it in, it connected right away.  But then it wouldn't connect to my second PC.  It showed it was connected, but no web pages would load.  I never got any help with this after a couple dozen attempts with support.  Their responses, sometimes, made absolutely no sense.  I wasted hours trying to get help.

It is a data plan.  I used about 1.5Gb a week for months.  Well within my 10Gb plan.  After complaining about poor support, I got a flood of 3Gb in one day, inexplicable, which put me at over 7Gb and I had to start worrying about exceeding my plan.  

Sprint bought Clearwire - the towers used by FP.  I was notified, just 2 weeks ago, that my service would terminate.  They have offered me another $100 modem and the same 10Gb plan for triple what I was paying.

You cannot trust this company.
