Freedom Pop Freedompop a TOTAL FRAUD San Francisco Internet
Several months ago I responded to an unsollicited ad offering "free internet" service and access.
To use the service they took my CC information. I never used the service. Yet they issued notices that my usage had exceeded the limits and began to bill my CC $10 every week. Sometimes I was billed $40-$50 per month.
Note: I NEVER used Freedompop services at any time.
If you access the Freedompop web site you will NOT find a number to call in order to cancel service. One has to go into the billing setup and click on "cancel service". In doing so the notice states you must call an agent at 1 888 906-3184. In doing so one is forced to go through a maze of menus that are never clear. Finally in exasperation I dialed 0 0 0. The voice recording asks if I want to cancel service? Then it goes through a menu of "why" cancelling service. Finally you are put on hold. You are on hold FOREVER.
You CANNOT talk to a live agent at Freedompop thus you cannot cancel service.
I finally had to call Chase bank credit card services and speak to their fraud department. Chase promised me they would cancel the Freedompop recurring charges

DO NOT fool with very low price monthly services, as soon as they've got your credit cards number # they will charged as much as they can, $10+ every 2 day in your credit card, they said you can cancel service any time it's a joke, they'll respond your email as soon as...30 days or never. The speed from freedom very slow, 6 or 8 times slower than dial up internet and interupted any time. BECAREFUL FOLK
