These people contacted me in regards to a credit card in which I was guaranteed a $5000.00 credit limit on. They required a deposit of $250.00 for the card. This was in June 2002.

They said that they would take it directly out of my checking account on a particular day that I scheduled (July 19, 2002). I called the company back and told them not to remove the funds because it wasn't a convenient time financially to do so. They proceeded to send a draft through anyway and have the funds removed (July 21, 2002).

When my account became overdrawn because of this the bank telephoned me to inform me of this. I told them that I did not authorize to have this electronic draft removed.

I immediately went into the bank and spoke with the bank manager, he had me close the account out and allowed me to open a new account so that this company could not steal anymore money from me. He did not inform me that the bank could put a reversal of the funds through to regain my money. Basically, he told me that it was up to me to get the money back but just to take it as a lesson learned.

I did get in contact with the company after several tries and told them that they were not authorized to withdraw the funds and had done so without permission. They proceeded to send me a refund form which I mailed back on August 29. 2002. I was told it would take 60-90 days to refund my money. To this day I still have heard nothing.

In the process of packing up for a relocation to North Carolina my wife came across the refund form and decided to see if something would come up online in regards to this company. Although we had for sometime felt that we had been robbed we knew there wasn't much we could do. Now after finding your site it proves that we were robbed.

We wonder why the bank didn't do more to help us reclaim the money? At this point with the situation being last July there isn't any recourse for us to get the money back. If there is, please let us know.
