On April 20, 2000 I packaged with the observance of a friend two (2) R/C transmitters with one (1) receiver and sent to Futaba Service Center for repair. These tree (3) items were in the same package when shipped. They were not under warranty, but I expressed in letter that I would like to have them checked and repaired if possible. Well, after a lengthy time and much communication by phone and fax, I received two(2) transmitters, but no receiver. In all communications with them at the sevice center, I was informed that the item (receiver) was not listed and they informed me that there was nothing to resolve. On my credit card they, { Futaba Service Center was listed as: Hob Hobby Services which is owned and controlled by Tower Hobbies P.O. Box 9078, Champaign, IL 61826 with whom I have purchased many R/C items in the past two or three years.} They somehow lost or misplaced my R/C receiver! I even spoke with a supervisor named Bill Baxter and he informed me that there was nothing he could do!

To this date after much correspondance with their company I still have not received my R/C receiver/channel32. To replace this item the cost runs around $59.99-$69.99 and crystal #32 around $10.99-$14.99 plus shipping and handling. It seems they at Futaba are unconcerned with such a small item! Yet, my transmitter is nothing if it doesn't have a receiver to match.

I indeed paid for the repair of my two (2) transmitters, but where is my receiver? WARNING: Beware if one wants to send in Futaba Equipment for servicing! I didn't seem to think I should insure these items. WRONG!! Never send anything to Futaba for servicing unless you insure it because they are indeed capable of losing your equipment! Personally, due to this situation, I have switched from their products to other names and manufacturers of R/C equipment!
