Gametap did not give me the exact renewal date for my subscription on their website. It gave me an "estimated" date that was one month after when it really was. I expected that I had time to cancel it until then. 



So on the actual renewal date I found myself with a bill in my account. 



I tried to cancel the account and obtain a refund, but they refused to honor my request. This is in spite of the fact that I notified them immediately and clearly fit the criteria necessary for an immediate refund, as listed on their website.



Their rebuttal to this was that my case had been reviewed by the billing department and did not meet the criteria. They did not say which criteria I did not meet and said that the case was closed unless I had further information.



The reason I did not want to continue for another year? Last time I paid for an entire year, they changed the entire service for the worse. That was just one week after I subscribed!  If they gave me the refund and turned their service around for the better, I would have not hestitated to subscribe again. But now they will get nothing. Not that they care since they already got my money.
