GE Capital Cons Card ripoff Palatine Illinois
I have a Carter Lumber Account, they have switched banks 5 times now with the last one GE Capital Cons Card Co. From the very start of the switch it has been nothing but a problem.
From the first payment that I had sent being $8.00 short because they changed the amount due after my bill was sent to the billed finance charges. Because my payment was short $8.00 they charged me $30.00 late payment charge and $26.15 finance charges and shut off my account not to mention told the credit reporting agency that I was late on my payment. IT was paid on time, just $8.00 short. THEIR FALT!!! not mine.
Now I have been over paying just to see what happends and paying at least 2 weeks early and still for some odd reason my payments arent getting there ontime and im getting late charges. I just dont understand.
As for the promo's for no finace charges thats cute. You the customer when you pay the bill have to make sure you specify what plan and purchase that you are sending the money in for. If you dont they split up the payment for all purchase's and you never ever get to pay off that purchase in time. You think that your payment is going were it should but NOPE not with GE.
It is sad that Carter Lumber is going to loose me as a custumer since I have been with them for years now and know everyone of them by first name but when it comes to my credit and my money that I work hard for Im sure I can find another place to get my lumber.
