GE Capital CONS CARDCO SCAM ripoff, Late Fees, Finance Charges Louisville Kentucky
After purchasing a big-screen TV at HHGregg, I found out that I went through GE Capital Cardco for the financing. 1 year no interest. I have done this several times and am aware that payments must be made, and balance must be paid off by grace period or you get the accumulated finance charges. After finding out GE Capital was my CC service, I looked online only to find out that they are a company to watch for on scams, i.e. late fees/finance charges. So I protect myself.
My first payment I make, I mail 18 days prior to the due date. I only live 300 miles from Louisville. No problem. I even copied the letter from the post office showing the date I sent it. I get my next bill and they slap me with a late fee.
I call them and it took them 22 days to receive and process my payment. They informed me that everyone is entitled to one late fee waiver. She stated I needed to mail my payment 3-4 weeks in advance??? Hello, I don't even have a statement yet. I inquired about online bill, or pay in store. Not Available, what a coincidence.
