Gene Reed Toyota ripoff - thievery North Charleston South Carolina
On July 29, 2004 stopped to look at the Toyota Solara after being impressed with write up on Edmonds and magazine artical. Got talked into driving a used 2004.
When we returned to garage to meet my husband he asked the salsenan the price of the car. Salesman stated it was 25,000.00 To which my husband asked what the price of a new car was and was told 32,000.00. When asked if we could look at a new car was told they didn't have any and why buy a new one when we could save 7000.00 by buying this car.
To make a long story short we ended up getting taken for about 10,000.00. After over four (4) hours of B.S.and many lies we were willing to do almost anything to get out of there. I will be the first to admit I've been had. After returning home I called the dealership and talked with another salesman and was told that they did have new cars on the premises for 23,000.00.
We were two teamed by a salesman and the sales manager.
After attempting to get an attorney to do something on my behalf with no joy, I've turned to the net.

Two Trailer Park Boys go around the outside(Brett and Perone(what a name and where did they get that one and is it the real names)), round the outside of the law, husbands, wifes, boyfriends, fathers, and etc to find a way to lie, cheat, steal, and make up totally untruths to disband and bring about division amongst the group to disjoin the potential purchaser from what they see as opposition or rather the person that might see the truths of these jerks... Things they have done to us 1.Accused the boyfriend of Pushing a salesman... 2.When boyfriend called her on cell, they took it for charging and Broke the Phone(Now it wont work) 3.They attempted the entire time there to either look up my skirt or down my blouse.Without regard or respect for my boyfriend 4.The New Car was ordered and was told it was ready to pick up,it wasnt and to get them to show me the car was an act of god... 5.The car was a used car being sold as a new one 6.Everyone there has lied to me about everything 7.When I said I was unhappy about the car they called my family member and in fact called them at least 15 times after i asked they not to get my family involved after the first call. 8.After signing a contract without mycar it took them 7 more days to prepare it and deliver it to me on my job after i had requested to call me and that i wanted to have time to test drive it after work, which they showed up unannounced and said they did not have time for me to test it, except about fifteen feet and the request of oral sex from the salesman... 9.The contract was different and I refused to sign it. The salesman said keep the loaner car or the new one(used0. I kept the new one with out the signing a new contract. They had a two thosand dollar down payment and said they would bring me a new to sign. 10.Drove the car home and the ac lasted a whole 15 mins. In fact none of the add ons are working or correct. 11.Car died:wont crank.(whew now this is too much) 12.Decided that the whole deal sucked and that I did no longer want to do any business with Gene Reed Toyota and now wanted to end the deal.. 13.This is when the said they where gonna have me arrested if i did not return the car for car theft 14. Bottom line just dont do any business with Gene REED person, place, or thing..
