Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
When I started I was under the impression of making $35,000-$40,000 a year (there is NO WAY that is possible, you would be lucky to make $15,000 and even if you somehow did that $5,000 of it would be for the gas you used). I found this hard to believe until I saw the 24 year old owner Robbert Stiff (A.K.A James Parker) making about $250,000-$350,000 a year. of course it doesn't look like that on paper since he olnly pays himself $400 a week and makes about $4,000-$7,000 a week (depending on how good the employees did at ripping people off), none of which goes to payroll since your an "idependent contractor and only make commission. This is because they sell products with the misleading information that the proceeds are going to a non-profit organization such as CPEA (Child Protection Education Of America).

The owner also uses an alias James Parker if you look on career builder or monster it says James Parker as the contact and when they e-mail you to set up an interview that is who it says its from. There is no James Parker employeed at GMS nor has there ever been. They advertise on career builder and monster with different titles to catch your eye saying there are various positions like cutomer service, management, marketing assistants, public relations, and advertising. There is only ONE position open and that's wasting your gas standing in front of wal-mart scamming money out of people. And even when you do get promoted to "leader" you do the exact same thing you make not one cent more.

Now if you look on the web site and even in the interviews they say nothing about standing in front of stores wasting your gas to defraud a charity, they say they do "promotional events" and even when I asked him in the interview "James" had answers that ended up just being not being straight answers him just beating around the bush so you wouldn't walk out.

Only 5% of the money raised to help missing children goes into the charity if that's really true I dont know and the other 95% goes in the owner of the companys pocket. And of course when your out in front of stores ripping people off you dont tell them only a miniscule amount goes back unless they ask and even then they try to get you to avoid telling them by beating around the bush and only if the customer is insistent do you tell them, while your trying to sell something they make you talk as to give the impression that all of the money is going back and their really helping and then if you do have to tell them only 5% goes back and they ask what happens to the other 95%, you tell them it stays in the community to help keep it safe, when in fact it helps owners get rich. Of course you do get a 35% commission which turns out to be about $200 bucks (if your lucky) a week that you work monday-saturday for 72 hours a wk, so the owner can get rich.

And on top of that you have to use your own car to drive anywhere between 20 minutes to an hour away to a wal-mart, rite aid, krogers, ect. to stand in front of their door and sell stuff, and of course you dont get compensated for the gas. And then about half the time you go with another person and have to split the already small 35% you are making.

Now when you first start, they talk about you owning your own company in 7 months and making it to leadership in 2 weeks. The only thing that happens when you make it to being a leader is you still make the 35% but you have to work more hours and go take second day interviews out so you actually make less.

The turnover rate for this company is ridiculous, I must have saw at least 50 people come and go in the 3 weeks I was there, for an office that at its max was 16 people. Some of them got fired which I didn't understand why they weren't getting an hourly rate the owner just sat back and collected money, but most of them quit once they realized it was a scam and there was no way they were going to make money.

GMS is actually a part of Quantum events so there are offices all over the country with different names that do the same thing, sell things in the name of a charity without mentioning that only 5% actually goes back, so new offices are springing up all over the country were they sell toys from a company called inovage and reap the profits.

Bottom line this is a this is a company that the owners make a substantial ammount of money taking it from low and middle class people because their trying to help out, DO NOT work for this company or any other of the Quantum branches you WILL NOT make money in fact you will probably spend more on gas then you will make. Theres got to be some legality in this if not at the least tax evasion, I'm sure there is some kind of embezzlement going on since it's mostly cash.

All I have to say is that for anyone that works for Quantum, WAKE UP! I used to work for this joke of a company for about 6 months. It was a waste of time. It took up a lot of time and you didn't get any financial reward out of it. It also affects your personal life and if you didn't notice, why do Quantum people only tend to hang out with Quantum People. And a lot Quantum people end up dating Quantum people. In most companies isn't it frowned upon about dating within the company? Anyways long story short, my owner ended up having to move in with one of his leaders. If this owner was making so much money as they hype up to all the distributors and days of O, why was he sleeping on his leaders couch with no CAR!

Ok, I don't know how long you worked at GMS (was it 3 weeks???) but I can see you bought all the brainwashed stuff they told you. Good job paying attention at the opportunity meeting (i doubt it was more than one you attended). Well, I worked there 9 months, I quit for personal reasons that had nothing to do with the business. First of all, Robbie doesn't get $45,000 from the offices he helped open. He only gets the $15,000 from his first generation deals unless he's a regional. Genelle is a 2nd generation deal, therefore no money, Key blew the business after being put on a retrain (means he didn't make enough money in this lucrative business) - oops there goes another $15,000. That leaves only Nick B. in Ohio, who is now his only 1st generation outside deal, unless right after Key quit he got 2 new deals. Now, as for the money he makes. In a good week, the office drops 1700 pieces. The office makes $2, on average, a piece, which is $3400. Now, you say there is the lease he shares with Brandon Keith, fine. But there is herb-joy, lawyers, recruiting (careerbuilder etc), admin (she gets paid about $12/hour and does a lot of hard work), event coordinator (3% of overall profits), his hub ($150), broken items, office supplies, electricity, insurance, taxes (payroll & social security taxes - because you are an employee not a independent contractor at GMS), phone, internet, alarm system etc. I am fuzzy on some of the numbers, but it's every week. So now it's about $1500 a week (you said $4000/week). Also, he has to put money aside to open up outside deals - and some of them fail. He has to pay for trips, too. Yeah, those Christmas parties, Leaders meetings in Dallas, hotels for leaders meetings and team-days are paid by Robbie not Quantum. So after all that, in a good week, he has $1000 left. I admit, it sounds good, but after putting 70 hours a week into the business, that's a crazy amount of about $14 an hour. Remember, this was a good week. Wow!! Now, I have heard it out of the mouth of Mike P. (the president of quantum) himself, that most new owners (he was referring to Robbie and Brandon) only make about 50,000 a year even though they want us to belief they make more (his words not mine). It's not bad, but working 70 hours a week for that?!? He also said that's why they want to make it to Regionals and VP's - it's called dangling the carrot or chasing the white rabbit as Mr. Stiff would say. About the firings, I am pretty sure I have seen more in 9 months than you have in 3 weeks!!

Response to (LOL... about the firing)

Ok I just had to clear this up. True some people do quit once they realize it's a scam, but A LOT of the people get fired. It's funny that they quit but on the same day they "quit" (really fired) some of them are talking about how the hope the DONT get fired. They get fired because they aren't making the owner money. Robbie doesn't say everybody get's fired, when they get fired he says they got fired when they quit he says they quit. And they don't make any money? The office at a minimum does $4,000 dollars a week, MINIMUM. That's all his money theres no payroll that comes out of it, they have to pay lease but that's split with Brandon Keith. I don't know where you got your information from but they make a ridiculous ammount of money, Robbie get's $45,000 dollars a year from Quantum for the other scam offices he helped open. Do the math, if the office only did $4,000 dollars a week which is usally more thats $204,000 dollars a year plus the money from Quantum $15,000 for each office I think is $249,000 A YEAR. So it doesn't really look to me like their close to broke, and thats a minimum. Thanks, just had to straighten that out.

LOL about the firing

I really need to respond to this one. Robbie never fires anyone. I did work there for some time and heard him say he fired people because of ...blah blah... well, he never really did. His great opportunity would look pretty bad if people actually chose to walk away from it. It's also a great "fear of loss" for people that are still there. Making you think you need to work hard or that's it. Trust me, those people quit. He lies about the reason people leave, even badmouths people once they're gone. I've seen it, I've heard it all. Well, thing is, you call that person that got "fired" and they tell you a very different story. I am still friends with people that worked at GMS with me... most of them were supposedly fired, when I know they chose to walk away from the opportunity and don't regret it. Another thing is, the owners don't make a substantial amount of money. They have to talk, act, do like they make money but it's all fake. I suggest you visit this site (((ROR redacted))). There is a bunch of former employees and owner who say they were always just over broke. sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
