Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

If I were hiring a company to design websites and manage social media for clients, I would be interested in their cultural values.

Often times, upper management successfully s****.>

I didn't make this up. GigaSavvy did it for me. In their overly long-winded advertisement for a social media person, they opted to include two separate email addresses that clearly make a mockery of potential employees:

The ad says "Send Resumes To  i-didn't-actually-read-the-entire-job-posting-for-social-media-specialist@gigasavvy.com," and above it

The ad also says, "The Social Media Specialist must be able to use discretion and maintain a professional demeanor as some of the clients will be high profile," which is a bit of a slap in the face considering the above email.

The email address sumarizes GigaSavvy's disposition, cultural sensitivity, and basic professionalism.

More blurbs from the ad to help you decide:

"include salary expectations (a MUST to be considered)" (This is the work of an amatuer. No experienced business leader asks the employee to make the first offer, so to speak.)

"demonstrate to us that you’re a right fit to join our agency and to work with our team and our clients.

please send your resume with other attachments to [email protected] with only your first and last name plus "Social Media Specialist" in the Subject line, OR you may also submit via the ZipRecruiter link. If you use ZipRecruiter please make sure to combine and upload all of your information as a single PDF as your resume. If you don't know how to merge multiple documents into a single PDF now is a great time to learn ;)." Empasis added.

As you can see, GigaSavvy is not made of respectful culture.

Complaintant Regrets Impulsive Ripoff Report Filing

#2Author of original report

Tue, September 16, 2014

I am the author of the complaint written about GigaSavvy on September 11, 2014. This is an amendment to my complaint.

No board member, principal, officer, or Gigasavvy employee requested, coerced, paid, threatened or otherwise caused me to create this amendment.

While I maintain my position on Gigasavvy’s well-intended job posting requires modification,  airing a poorly composed complaint on Ripoff Report was an unsuitable course of action and I regret the impression it could leave on uninformed readers. I further regret not providing Gigasavvy ample opportunity to respond to the matter before taking it public.

Furthermore, this website's title indicates complaints are for "ripoffs" and no such instance occured with Gigasavvy.

After I filed the complaint, I met with two members of Gigasavvy’s staff, one of which is an officer of the company. I found management to be of high integrity and I would not hesitate to hire Gigasavvy for digital marketing.

What I found most compelling is management’s willingness to forgive, which speaks well of his leadership.
