Global Financial ripoff promise to send credit card package, won't send and it won't refund my money! Atlanta Georgia
I received a call offering a credit card in order to help re-build credit. This offer required a checking account number and over-the-phone authorization for Global Financial, Inc. to deduct a payment of $221.
I was skeptical, but went through with the payment process. The "membership package", which includes a credit card with a limit up to $2500, was said to be on its way. The delivery would take 15 to 18 business days.
I called the company (at 1-866-411-4466) to follow up a few days later and to verify that my payment was received. The customer service rep confirmed it and so did my bank.
The payment was received as of March 7, 2003. April 4th came around and no "package". I called to find out why it had not arrived and I was told that it was on its way.
April 8th popped up and still no Global Financial, Inc. "membership package". I called again to speak to a rep who was in no way helpful except to say that the "package" was sent out a day late and it would be at my address "one day" that week.
It is Monday, April 14th, well over a month since my payment was received. I spoke to a customer service rep who told me that my payment "can't be refunded" because they have already sent out a "package with the card and everything"..."the refund can't be done until the package is received", and their "policies" explain why. He could not give me one of those "policies"!
