I find it very hard to accept the fact that I allowed myself to be sucked in and become a vicitm of Global Travel Internationals scam. What really bothers me is the fact that the Consumer Protection agency in the State of Florida as well as the Better Business Bureau of Central Florida allow Global Travel International to continually victimize people.

I sent back an unsigned contract to Global Travel International with cancel written all over it within the 30 day cancellation period. Of course Global Travel International ignored this and started billing my credit card. I had the charges reversed and was sent to Global Travel Internationals bulldog collection agency Monterey Financial Services out of Carlsbad , California, who are also mixed up in this scam and just as evil!

Global Travel International now claims the cancellation period is 14 days and not 30 days, which I know that this is a lie. I was also told by Global Travel International that I cannot cancel my memebership until May of 2007 and I have to call them back then to cancel, so therefore I owe them $299.50.

I have contacted the Attonery Generals Office in the State of Florida, the Better Business Bureau in Central Florida and the Federal Trade Commssion to file a complaint about GTI's scam. When the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Protection agency contacted me I was very excited because I thought I was going to get some help because I had been reading all the compalints about Global Travel International on this web site as well as other sites and becoming very nervous because all these people are getting screwed by this company.

My excitement was very short lived and boy was I wrong that the State of Florida helping me. I just a letter in the mail today from Florida's Department of Agriculture and consumer services telling me that Global Travel International is in the right- that I did not cancel my contract within 14 days and I owe them $299.50. What happened to the 30 days that was listed on their website and in their brochure? Oh and according to Global Travel Internationals Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance "complaints by consumers can certainly not be a measure of a company's legitimacy", the State of Flordia must agree with this. So for all of us consumers out there our opinions must not be very valid.

Needless to say, in order to protect my credit rating, I just wrote them a check.

Global Travel International and all companies associated with them need to be stopped!
