GM Pontiac Corp master brake cylinder failure and faulty parts Detroit Michigan
Had my 99 Grand Am less than 2 years and the master cylinder failed - had to be replaced.
Car only 4 yrs old, power steering pump failed - needing replacement.
Also oil leaking under and on manifold - getting into antifreeze.

Steer clear of Grand Ams...

In the future I'd stay clear of Grand Ams... and pretty much Pontiacs all together. I have a Grand Am now and it has been the most unreliable frustrating piece of crap I have ever owned. The car I drove in high school had less problems. reliability is poor and the depreciation is worse... keep this in mind next time you're in the market for a car.
