After a rough divorce I had fallen behind 45 days on my mortgage and was that way for 2 payments. I did not see things changing so I contacted G.M.A.C. because they always say if you are having trouble contact us to work with you. My hope was to defer one monthly payment till the end to get back on track. The customer service person put me into a loss mitgation dept.which after about 30 minutes of talking to me asked for some financial paperwork to be faxed and some other information like a hardship letter.

I did this the following day and was told (on tape as they say ) that they are very busy it could take up to 4 weeks so save my monies and wait for a call. After the 4 weeks I began calling them and after anywhere from 45 - 80 minutes on hold either disconnected or basically told to hang in there they are really busy.

During many calls to them all I was told is we will be with you shortly well about 10 weeks into this I get served foreclosure papers and why because gmac loss mitagation people lied (on tape ) that nothing can happen while they are working on it. From the 4 weeks on I had asked many times to make a payment because my credit went from 45 days late to who knows what I was not allowed and if I did it would be sent back to me.

On Nov 9th I called again and I was told that the anaylist has a loan modification for me the paper work will be mailed out that night and needs to be back nov 16th with 12,430.00 well I received the paper work on the 15th Fedex The money I had to get out of the bank and western union cash to them. I sent the monies on the 15th without even getting the documents because I wanted this nightmare over. The paper work was sent back to them on the 19th of nov.

According to GMAC they received the monies nov 27(which is not true because money is credited within 5 minutes of being sent). My problem is still I have nothing from them updated on my account or even the removal of the court action there lawyer is useless to me. My Jan payment is due tomorrow and I am told BY gmac employee to just hold it till my paperwok is done.

NO WAY I DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE THEY HAVE KILLED WHAT CREDIT I HAD LEFT AFTER THE DIVORCE AND I AM KEEP THIS HOUSE WITH MY KIDS AND THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED BUT WHO CAN? If I was just behind another 30 days and paid my 160 late charge I would of saved the 3 thousand for there lawyer and certainally have been cleared up for 3 months now. I want them to fix my account and my credit report to only show what I was responsible for not them.

If anyone knows how to get in contact with someone at gmac that give a s--- about there jobs SOMEONE HAS TO BE ANSWERED TO SOME DAY.
