GMAC Mortgage Homecomings Financial Promised Cash for Keys but never went through with it Waterloo, Iowa
On September 28th 2011 I recieved an offer from GMAC Mortgage (Homecomings Financil) for a Cash for Keys offer. The letter was sent by a Brooke Onstott GMAC ResCap. I called the number and left a message. Brooke called me back teo days later. She advised if I were to move out of my home before November 18th 2011 I would be entitled to $2,000.00 after an inspection and I turn over the keys. I agreed to the offer and moved out the last week of October. I called Brooke and advised I had moved and to schedule the inspection. The inspection was scheduled for November 14th 2011, I was to receive a call from the inspector, and once complete he would issue me a Western Union number which I then could go and receive my funds. No call from any inspector, and I have made numerous calls to Brooke and left a message every time with no response. This company also refused to do a loan modification for me when I requested it. Again I would call leave messages and no response. I received a letter via Fed X on day that told me they sold the home. Then this. My mortgage payments started out at $900 a month and after 2 years went to $1700 a month due to a hidden an undisclosed line in the mortgage papers.
