Gourmet cooking online Kitchen advance/RMC Scam Alert on Gourmet cooking online s Internet
I received an email offering a cookbook for 7.95 and free shipping. What I got was an offer for .99 for some additional cookbooks three offers and they did not reference any andditional charges and now the bill is over 57 dollars. When I ordered the books there was no total charge so I emailed them back and alerted them to the fact that I would not authorize any charges on my account until issues were resolved. I alerted my bank dispute resolution about it and that I did not authorize any additional charges. I called the company and several numbers were disconnected. I call another number and they informed me that there would be a charge of 270 dollars if I did not send them back within 30 days. I will refuse the books at the post office when they arrive and they informed me that I would be charged over 45 dolllars for shipping even though I did not open the package and refused the package. I then looked up more information on the company and found that on one site there were over 51 complaints and over 15 thousand dollars that they scammed. Nobody got a refund. This is a scam company in california and they did not reference any additional charges for shipping as they advertised free shipping on the website. I was advised by my bank to wait 15 days and return the box when it arrives by refusing the box. I still will be on the hook for over 45 dollars. This is a scam for sure.
