Government Grants Information And Guide Program Claims Guaranteed Government Grant Of At Least $8000 ripoff crock possible terrorist possible money laundering activities grant government "Floridia"
I got a call on my cell phone from a guy who says, in very broken english, that I have been accepted to get a guaranteed government grant of at least $8000. I should have known right away that it was a scam. I asked him what the catch was and he said there was no catch, and it wouldn't cost me anything.
Well, I went along with it for a while, he verified my address, and then he eventually asked me my account number so they could deposit the grant into my account. I almost did it too, but then my dad asked what I was doing, and he convinced me it was a bad idea... Then I asked the guy if I could speak to his supervisor, in hopes that it would be an american that spoke proper english, but his supervisor was even worse than he was.
I finally said, "no offense, but is there any americans there that I can speak to because I just don't understand you well enough to go through with this."
I am a telemarketer myself, for Bank of America, and I know legit companies wouldn't be run by all asians or arabs or whatever these guys were. I'm not racist, but since 9-11, I ain't trusting no arabs unless I know them personally. Another funny thing about it is, they all had american sounding names like, "Danny White". I plan on contacting the FBI to investigate these guys.
