Dry Ridge,#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

I would have responded to this report sooner, however I just found it today, July 24, 2007 after doing an internet search on something based on my home telephone number. What an interesting way to find something completely full of false accusations and unfounded claims. For your reference, Heather's story continued to change with all the different sources she tried to contact in her smear attempt at a child's sport. We are all volunteers and do our best to provide an opportunity for the children of our county to play organized football and cheer. I wish your company would have contacted us as soon as the report was filed so that we could have responded immediately. We did hire an attorney due to Heather's threats and false accusations and once we did that, Heather conveniently dropped her claims and shut her mouth. She was told upfront that a refund could not be provided once her daughter's uniform was ordered. The Grant Co. Youth Football League is a self funded organization and unfortunately, we are not able to pay for cheer uniforms and allow the girls to keep them. We just cannot do it. We tried paying for the uniforms and keeping them in the league so that parents would not have to pay high fees, however that did not work as the parents wanted to keep the uniforms at the end of each season. With this being the case, the girls are now required to pay for their uniforms. Once they are ordered, we are not given any refunds from the company so we in turn cannot offer up a refund. This is stated on all paperwork and Heather cannot say she did not know. Unfortunately, this has only hurt Heather's children as she pulled them from a sport they were good at and they both enjoyed. Again, had her claims been true, she would have continued to pursue her case in court as she threatened even after receiving our letter from our attorney. Conveniently, Heather never responded and the case was dropped. I put all my spare time into working with the youth of Grant Co. I don't get paid for it. I do it because I care about the kids...parents like Heather make it difficult to want to continue helping the youth. Luckily for us there are a lot more out there who see the good we are doing and aren't bent on causing problems because things don't go their way!!! Your website needs to check into people's claims as it is a joke that I am just now seeing this. It doesn't seem right that people can post lies about people or organizations and get away with it. You should recheck your policies!
