Attention President :Tricia-spoken with

Attention Treasurer: Dawn -spoken with and told me full refund 150.00 this week ABSOLUTELY!

Attention Cheer Rep: Linda -told me no money BACK after she found out that I pulled our daughter out of cheering and I was told I would get my money back.-

now RESIGNED 2 days later after this incident and pulled her son out of football

Tricia discretely gives money back. She has also refunded a total of 4 people within the past 2 years, we have witnesses to come forward to. Or has not paid for their child as of yet also.

We have proof of a phone call recorded asking myself to lie...if we get a refund back as we were told.

On Monday, August 7th I had personally spoken with Dawn , Secretary, Treasurer of Grant County Youth Football League about our daughter for the 1st grade gold team cheerleading squad being a bad first cheering experience for our daughter due to un-organization, and not having enough cheerleaders to properly show the correct cheers AND THAT WE WANTED TO TAKE our daughter out of cheering before it gave her a bad first year cheering experience. Dawn told me ABSOLUTELY we would get a full refund by this week.

Thursday August 3rd, my sister, who was a former cheerleader, drove all the way form Carrollton,KY to show the squad new cheers to try and get this cheering squad to go better. Everyone(parents) loved her and asked about her and if she would come back. I am not the only parent that has issues with this cheering league for football.

August 7th I spoke with Dawn as mentioned above, she personally said We would get our full money back. On Tuesday August 8th Linda a Cheer Rep., for G.C.Y. F.L. had spoken with me personally to tell me I would not get my money back. Linda has no right to say this and get into our business. I then proceeded to Dawn, and she said she was in the wrong that I could not get my money back.

Linda has now pulled her son out of the 5th and 6th grade team, got her money back and resigned from cheer rep..

We paid 150.00, for 3 cheering practices, I feel that I took her out for a good reason. The cheer practices wasn't suppose to start until August 4th OFFICIALLY. I want a full refund as I was told.

Spoke with Tricia about getting my money back over the telephone she said if I could LIE if I got my money back, then that is what she wants me to do, so everyone else that quit did not get their money back. This is coming from president of the league. She also said Dawn did tell me I would get a FULL refund so they would have to suck it up and go by what Dawn told me.

She will not return any phone calls from me or my husband, contacted her 2 days later to find out status if I get it back, she said NO. I told her she would hear from our lawyer then.

I then proceeded to take our son out of football before the 1st game, and paid 80.00, I will not support the league-due to their losses and jurisdiction among themsleves if how they do supporters like this. We have called Tricia and Dawn both, they cannot followup on practices they do, that is very aware in this league. We have lost 230.00 and when the league has parents like us that pay, we show we are good standing parents unlike the ones that don't pay and still play- it is funny how a league wants people to drop out and they still think they are a good league? It is not very professional how they handled our situation either.

I am now asking for 150.00 + 80.00 on both of our kids. But wait, Money has been refunded to others that have dropped out or quit. Show the records. We have the people.

#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

Tue, July 24, 2007

I would have responded to this report sooner, however I just found it today, July 24, 2007 after doing an internet search on something based on my home telephone number. What an interesting way to find something completely full of false accusations and unfounded claims. For your reference, Heather's story continued to change with all the different sources she tried to contact in her smear attempt at a child's sport. We are all volunteers and do our best to provide an opportunity for the children of our county to play organized football and cheer. I wish your company would have contacted us as soon as the report was filed so that we could have responded immediately. We did hire an attorney due to Heather's threats and false accusations and once we did that, Heather conveniently dropped her claims and shut her mouth. She was told upfront that a refund could not be provided once her daughter's uniform was ordered. The Grant Co. Youth Football League is a self funded organization and unfortunately, we are not able to pay for cheer uniforms and allow the girls to keep them. We just cannot do it. We tried paying for the uniforms and keeping them in the league so that parents would not have to pay high fees, however that did not work as the parents wanted to keep the uniforms at the end of each season. With this being the case, the girls are now required to pay for their uniforms. Once they are ordered, we are not given any refunds from the company so we in turn cannot offer up a refund. This is stated on all paperwork and Heather cannot say she did not know. Unfortunately, this has only hurt Heather's children as she pulled them from a sport they were good at and they both enjoyed. Again, had her claims been true, she would have continued to pursue her case in court as she threatened even after receiving our letter from our attorney. Conveniently, Heather never responded and the case was dropped. I put all my spare time into working with the youth of Grant Co. I don't get paid for it. I do it because I care about the kids...parents like Heather make it difficult to want to continue helping the youth. Luckily for us there are a lot more out there who see the good we are doing and aren't bent on causing problems because things don't go their way!!! Your website needs to check into people's claims as it is a joke that I am just now seeing this. It doesn't seem right that people can post lies about people or organizations and get away with it. You should recheck your policies!
