Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I am bewildered at the astonishing events that have taken place at Grantham in the last 7 months. This company has went through so many transitions and it's hard to follow what's happened. I see and hear things that concern me, so I feel it's my right to bring certain situations to light. I hope this helps students & employees greatly. I will say that I currently work for Grantham University, and have come across many inconsistencies througout my time here. Although no solution is ever rendered but I go on to serve the students as best to my ability.

I would like to address the ripoff reports first because I found a lot of truth in every report. The whole workplace was in a frenzy and everyone was rushing to the Freebrowse computers in the breakroom to look up the report that had several managers in an uproar. I want to be fair in saying this, but the sexual harrassment rumors about Mr. George Colon are TRUE! He makes a lot of sexual inuendos to a lot of young women. He hand picks them by judging size, age, looks and eventually preys upon them. Oh golly that day when the truth came out I thought we would have to call the paramedics, because George was so angry and embarrassed that his secret was unleashed and viewable for the whole world to see. George even said a lawsuit would be in place when he finds out who made the report. We had a breakfast and he joked purposely about the sexual harrassment allegations to cover up. I hope his wife doesn't leave him, because we still need her to continue to grade the Proctor Exams.

I wish I could take every student under my wing and guide them away from Grantham and to the best online university possible. There are only 15 day extensions and students are cancelling everyday. Grade reports can't be mailed out anymore for students and Pensacola is hounding our asses. Eventhough the students are paying for their classes using TA or Montgomery G. I Bill, no grade reports are making is seems as if the students haven't taken any courses with us. Therefore Pensacola want's to know where the grade is and have started to garnish Military students wages. I go to Student services to help me out, but they are always away from there desk or chatting about needless things. Our job is so hard.

A few of my co-workers went on a all expense paid trip to "Cancun" because they reached a goal of signing students up. I refuse to participate in such rubbish. I'm starting to believe we do run a used car dealership just to get the students money. I'm looking for other employment because I feel Grantham will be facing several lawsuits leading to the school hightailing it back to Louisiana or closing for good. All departments are in need of employee's. The turnover rate is getting poor, due to all the quitting and termination of employee's. Our student count as of a few days ago was a little over 4,100 students.I advise all students to research before attending to this school. Believe me its just not worth the problems.

I went to online degree reviews and found a great many conversations about Grantham. I was in shock to find out what students/employees/researchers have found out. Grantham is lying to students about transferred credits to universities like Pepperdine, (Louisana) and many others that WILL NOT ACCEPT GRANTHAM CREDITS or Bachellor's degree. Below is an actual reponse letter including actual contacts from Pepperdine about Transfer credits from a Nationally Accredited College. IF I can't fight for my students during work I will find other ways to assist and serve properly! Please read below and I look forward to updating everyone on arising situations and your responses are welcomed. I will help any way I can.

Dear Sir or Ma'am,

I am just completing my BSEET degree from Grantham University, a DETC National accredited university. Would this meet your requirements for entrance into your MBA program? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

****

(As you can see, I put down a BSEET degree, just like Mr. Former Student said he had.)

This is the reply that I received today:

Dear ****,

Thank you for your interest in the Graziadio School of Business and Management. We require completed undergraduate degrees from regionally accredited universities, so an undergraduate degree from a nationally accredited school would not meet that requirement. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any further questions.

Take care,

Marc

I have attended University Of Phoenix (UOP) for about a year and a half with fairly good results as far as professors are concerned. However, dealing with my financial/academic advisors has been a pain staking process. They do not return calls, respond to emails, nor do they have the knowledge about procedures that they should have. Any time I had to change my schedule they would completely screw everything up!

I had problems in my last course due to an illness, which I brought to my professors attention as soon as it started to become a problem, she directed me to my academic advisor and suggested that I request an "I" which means that I would be granted additional time to complete my course.

When discussing this possibility with my advisor, he had never heard of it and stated that the only thing I could do would be to drop out of the course. (What a bunch of bull) It clearly states in the hand book that this is a viable solution. Anyway, I continued to try and complete my assignments as best as possible until my final.

I emailed my teacher that Sunday (Day seven, last day of the course) and explained that I was very ill and that I could not complete my final by midnight. I was then admitted in the hospital and was not released for several days. Upon my release I called my professor to explain my situation and she told me that her hands were tied; I should once again contact my advisor.

I followed her instructions and once again I'm not getting any help. However they did make it clear that they do not excuse finals for ANY REASON! My only alternative would be to retake the course, at my expense!! I have submitted my medical documents to prove my case but evidently thats not good enough. To see what I submitted so you can decide for yourself,

I'm sorry, but I have never heard of a school not allowing students to make up finals based on documented medical reasons!! I would have passed this course in spite of my illness causing a few late assignments had it not been for the final. Moreover, I have never received below a "B" in any of my other 16 courses. Although I have received 42 credits and I'm so close to getting my associates degree, I want nothing more than to transfer to a more respectable university.

If you do decide to apply at this university make sure that you are not late on your assignments (for any reason), don't make any changes to your schedule and don't expect to have any issues you might have to be resolved in a timely fashion. As for me, I might have to complete my Associates with UOP but I will not continue my education with them. Oh, and by the way, UOP is very over-priced; especially for the service you receive. After researching other universities I could have gotten the same degree for 1/2 of the price. This makes me absolutely sick.
As far as I am concerned, I wasted my money. For a complete detail of my experience, including the lawsuit I filed against the University of Phoenix, download a copy of my paperwork and see for yourself. RipOffReport.com is 100% correct. Be careful of the University of Phoenix!!!
