GrantsForYouNow.com is a clear scam regardless if the information is valuable or not. It is nothing more than a bait and switch.

They entice you with an offer of receiving information on federal grants for $1.99. After you sign up for the info, you find out that doing so signs you up for another "program" listed in small print that incurs several credit card charges: $.04 for foreign transactions, $.55 for foreign transaction, $18.77 for an additional program. Those charges are nothing compared to what's down the road.

Hidden in the fine print of the pop-up box for the terms and conditions, you find that the $1.99 is an "introductory" price good for seven days. After the seven days, you are charged $94.87 per month for one year for the "grants program". You have to keep the "grants program" for 88 days (two days short of three months--wonder why?) before they will refund your money.

Nowhere on the website is there a banner, statement, or indication that the $1.99 you pay is an introductory price. You only find that out if you click near the pre-checked terms and condition box and then you get the pop-up.

A legitimate business would NEVER conduct itself in such a patently deceptive manner. It is a rip-off. They know it is rip-off and are just trying to hide it.

If you try to stop the payment, you are out of luck. My bank would only stop it if I got on a three-way call with GrantsForYouNow.com. Guess what? GrantsForYouNow.com would not put me through to their billing department and did not have a phone number for their billing department. All they would do was send an email to the billing department. I wound up having to cancel my credit card to prevent further charges. My bank said they would file a complaint and try to get my money back, but I am not optimistic.

Don't get taken-in by this scam.
