Goodtimes Video ripoff Great American Rail Journeys Ordered Video from TV ad. Was promised 40,00 in rebates Sarasota Florida
I ordered a set of DVDs from GoodTimes Video - Specifically Great American Rail Journeys. The TV infomercial promissed various things including 40.00 in gasoline rebates - The deal was that once a month for 4 months I buy gas and send them (Great Getaways) the receipts and rebate slip (max $10 p/m)- ALL rebates were Xeroxed with the same certificate number on them - 6 months later and about 3 unanswered letters, I wrote to the Attorney General of Florida, who essentially blew it off - Called the actual company who made the offer in June of 2004 (Good Times Video) and they were able to get me 20.00 of the 40.00 - but they promised they would get me my full rebate. - Great American Rail Journeys videos have been shown on PBS, but this offer was from an infomercial. The last conversation I had promising the rebate was on June 14, 2004 and about a month later I received 20.00. The Goodtimes Video Company probably wants to make good on the offer but gets no cooperation from the fulfillment company either -
