GreenTree servicing This company is trying to commit fraud by adding extra fees of $170.00 a month to our fixed rate mortgage. Miami, Florida
To whom it may concern,
Greentree mortgage company has been trying to add extra charges to our loan since the loan was transferred to GreenTree from Bank of America. We purchased the home in Sept 2007, and at the time Countrywide was our lender. Bank of America bought the loan in 2009 and sold our loan to Greentree in Sept 2010. Since GreenTree has taken over our loan, they have been trying to charge us late fees and, we have never been late with our mortgage. Also, they are charge us with flood insurance, hazard and fire insurance. We have always paid our own insurance since the purchase of the loan and we have the proof of payment along with the Declaration with states our insurance is paid. On Jan 14, 2012 I received a call from a GreenTree service stating we must pay an additional 170.00 amount with our mortgage each month for the insurance. I explained to the rep that we have always paid our own insurance and our insurance was paid for the year in Sept 2011. The representative (Kevin) did not care to hear what I had to say. He was very rude and was yelling at us over the phone. After speaking with his Supervisor, they apologized and said the matter has been resolved. On March 23, 2011 at 0924, a representative called by the name "Jesse" and stated we were 170.00 short on the mortgage payment. He said if we don't pay the 170.00 this information will be posted on our credit report on March 30, 2012. I asked him why are we being charged an extra 170.00 and he told me, the yearly taxes went up by 2000.00. I asked him to send me a email with the figures. After looking at the report, it was noted he lied and tried to charge us once again for the hazard/fire and flood insurance. He also told stated that GreenTree disbursed 752.00 to Farmers inurance for the flood insurance, and 536.00 to State Farm for hazard, and fire insurance. to State Farm. We contacted our inurance company to find out if they received a payment and they both stated GreenTree never paid them anything. The only payment the inurance company received was from the homeowners in Sept 2011 and the next payment is not due until Sept 2012. We have paperwork and a letter from the insurance company stating they never received a payment from GreenTree.
