I only had $15.15 on my card and I didn't bring lunch to work today because I planned to order.Stuck at work for 12 hours and needed something to eat.

Tried to submit order 4 times on grub hub. Each time they charged me a $1.20 authorization fee. I know it will come back on the card, but sometimes it takes a business day or more. I don't have enough money to meet any company's minimum order and be able to afford delivery and tip from any company now.

I contacted grub hub and they wouldn't even offer me a coupon so I could bring the order cost down and still be able to eat today. Erica from customer service did not care. She said it was my bank card's fault and there is nothing they can do. They do not advertise when ordering there may be additional charges.

I've never had an authorization placed for anything but gas. I even left enough leeway for a $1 charge just in case...but not $1.20. As a customer service gesture, they should have at least offered me a coupon so I didn't have to go hungry, and they refused when I asked. She also left the chat before I was able to finish talking to her. Now I'm grumpy and hungry.

RUDE! I will NEVER use GrubHub again!

 You fail to understand that because they charged the verification 4 times, that is their fault. They would do nothing to work on getting those charges reversed so the card would work. Yes, that is their fault. Their poor customer service is also their fault. Because they are using a verification method and giving no warning, that is unauthorized an they are required to notify people that they may be placing a card hold. It's the law. As I said, I also took a possible card hold into account even though no, I didn't "know this." Please actually read in entirety before making acusations.

Even so, their card hold was more than they typical $1, and this was charged 4 times. Because their system caused this, yes, as a customer service gesture they should have done something to work with me. It's call customer service, which I have more than 15 years of service in. I've only twice in that time been unable to resolve with a customer because they declined the resolution. Before you get on the internet and spout off about my maturity level, I am not asking for something outside the norm for customer service resolution.

If you're out on a complaint site looking for people to attack, that is indicative of your maturity level. This is a site primarily for people having an issue with a business and a chance for the business to work on that record. Also, after seeing other reviews here, pissed consumer, and BBB, Grub hub has an extremely poor customer service rating. Regardless how they feel about it, unless a customer is being nasty and belligerent and talking inappropriately, it is NEVER ok to disconnect from a customer as happened to me, twice.

 So because YOU are broke its ALL GrubHubs fault YOU didnt get to eat. Have you forgotten that YOU have rights as a worker and YOUR JOB was in violation of those rights?? EVERYONE wants to get paid. Even GrubHub. Each time YOU tried to place an order they had to verify the account YOU entered was valid. But YOU KNOW THIS!!! So YOU are just mad that YOU screwed YOURSELF over and are taking it out on the innocent party because YOU are NOT mature enough to own up to YOUR mistakes.
