In August 2006, a friend and I each purchased Riptide scooters from GS MotorWorks. They arrived with several damaged parts. Additionally, my friend's scooter immediately stalled. My scooter ran but was sluggish. Although GS MotorWorks replaced some damaged parts, they did not replace all. After many many phone calls and e-mails, my friend gave up and purchased a scooter from a local company in order to have reliable transportation out in the country. The last straw was when his scooter stopped on him no less than 10 times within a 5-mile radius. I continued to ride my scooter but soon encountered the same problem my friend had encountered. It began to stall often, which stranded me out in the country on the side of the road. The owner of the company agreed to extend our warranty but when we demanded that she take the scooters back, she refused.

Eventually, when we told the company owner the scooters were being returned at any cost, she provided a bill of laden and agreed to refund our money. Once she received the scooters, she told us that we would only be receiving a partial refund. Three months later, after frequent calls and e-mails to her company, she has still not refunded any money. During the few phone conversations that she has not been able to avoid, she has told several lies. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, WASTE MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!!! The product is inferior and the owner is not ethical!
