On or around the end of April I was contacted by AARP in re car insurance, I went on line to fact find and it appeared to be a good deal as I was looking for better car insurance. I filled out the information for a quote on line and was then advised to call their 800 number and I did, a policy was issued over the phone with them e-mailing me confirmation and with my giving them my credit information.

The policy was effective on May 3rd 2003, on May 22nd I was involved in a fender bender and lo and behold all hell broke loose. I contacted them immediately giving them all pertinent information, I was told by Michelle that she would handle arrangements for a tow, replacement vehicle, and repair.

From day one it has been nothing less than a nightmare first with the car rental requesting cash, then with my being told by Beth that they would cover the replacement and then finding out that I had to pay more than Hartford for a daily rental and in cash, a hold was placed on my debit card, I was also told by Beth Jones that if I used their Auto Body companies I would get a lifetime guarantee on the parts, they referred me to Keenan who has had my car for a month with one excuse or another as to why it wasnt ready, after two rental fiasco's finally

I was told by Mr Hudson of Keenan's that my car could be picked up at 1pm and after waiting in excessof 45 minutes only to be told that in addition to my deductible I owed them $308,00 for "betterment", I inquired what does that mean and was told that the part they had to replace on my car was a 2003 part and that consitutes "betterment", what the hell is going on doesnt the car have to be repaired anyway with new parts?

Beth Jones indicated that it was in my policy, I asked what policy because as of today I have never received a policy only a quote confirmation, and statement of coverage? I was under the impression that being insured eliminated the necessity for large sums of money out of ones budget, what I'm being asked to pay is almost a years coverage. Why wasn't I advised of this prior to the repair being made I only used Keenan because they referred me to them, I could have taken my car to several local repairmen they would have fixed it in less time and cheaper than Keenans.

I believe there is something shady going on to ripp the consumer off. After contacting both companies and requesting that we converse on a conference call, Beth Jones refused because she denied everything said by Mr Hudson and Mr Hudson denied everything Beth Jones said, integrity, and honesty appears to be foreign to these people, a lie rolls of of their tongues as easily as saliva.

I am a disabled individual and desperately need my vehicle for Doctors appointment and to get around. independance is important to me, now I am without my vehicle, and stuck with a rental that has to be paid for. Can these liars and thieves get away with deceptive tactics, lies, fraud? Ms Sambrano Beth Jones supervisor apparently is in cahoots because she denies everything shes ever said to me fortunately I was on a phone that records incoming conversations at the rental location, they taped her I didnt. HELP, HELP, HELP,being without my vehicle could potentially be life-threatening.

Thank God for honest,competent,professional and decent people who prize integrity. My problem with Hartford has been resolved. This was due largely by the intervention of a gentleman named TOM, to whom I am very grateful and appreciative for listening and acting, and for COLLEEN who took the time to do the research and get to the right person. These two individuals have restored my respect and faith in big business and I will be eternally grateful. THANKS AND GOD BLESS for making the extra effort to amicably resolve this situation

Hartford and Keenan Auto Repair liars, thieves and Buzzards

Hartdord and Keenan Autor Repair on Baltimore Pike are in cahoots, they have the consumer between a rock and a hard place with ridiculous charges, with both alledging that its at the others behest. A "betterment" charge of $308.00 was added to my deductible alledgely by Hartford, they also alledge that it is written into a policy that prior to May 10th,2003 had not arrived nor had I seen it. Nevertheless Keenan has refused to release my car with me providing the deductible $200.00, Mr Hudson the weasel states that they must collect the money or no car. I asked the weasel if they dont have anything to do with this charge why not let the attorney work it out, again he refused to contact them or remedy the problem. I'm between a rock and a hard place because I'm being squeezed by the Hartford and Keenan, no money for the "betterment" which I had nothing to do with nor was I even informed of this alledged improvement to my car. Is the consumer responsible for not be able to find a part for a car, in addition Keenan alledges that they put a 2003 Jeep part on my 1997 Jeep, I thought they stop making jeep cherokees in 2001 so where did the cherokee part come from in 2003. They are all nothing more than RIP-OFF artist something bad should happen to these crooks.
