Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My husband purchased a large screen television last summer from HHGregg at the Mt. Zion location in Jonesboro, Ga. He also purchased the additional $250.00 two year extended warrenty. HHGregg also promised to come one time a year for the next two years for a free cleaning of the television.

We called HHGregg in May, 2004 to ask for a service tech to service our television because there were lines in the picture. The service tech made arrangements to come to our home and we were there the day and the time. We were also told that we were scheduled for our free cleaning on June 15, and that he would complete both items then. No service tech showed up. We called the store and the store manager spoke with us and stated that he would again put in a service work order and that the service tech would call.

No one called within 3 days so we called back and the manager apoligized again and stated that he would put an email into the coporate office for somesone to call. Corporate did call and stated that the service tech were not employees of HHGregg put that the jobs were contracted out and that they would find us a service tech. A man did call us, identified himself as a service tech for HHGregg and asked us what problems we were having. We explained to him what was going on and he identified the problem over the phone as the tubes needed to be replaced...he is based out of Marietta which is a 2 hour drive from our home...the store is only a 20 minute drive from our home.

He stated that he would order the parts and would call us with a service date. It is now September 2004 and the phone has not as yet rung. We do have caller ID and an answering machine. We have called HHGregg a estimate of 25 times, the store manager no longer accepts our calls.

A lady who works at the customer service desk gave us the number to the coperate office who then referred us to the regional office. Each place states that they will will put in an email to a service tech and we will be notified of a service date. We have repeatedly called HHGregg and have asked for our [email protected] back since the company has failed to keep their warrenty agreement.

We called the store manager of HHGregg (Mt. Zion, JOnesboro, Ga.) and did not give our name until he answered the phone...he immediately knew who we were... we asked for our money back from the warrenty and was told that his company does not do that. We told him we were bringing the television back and because we have had the television for more than a year we can not do that either.

We called HHGregg in May 2004....which was eleven months after we had purchased the large screen television. HHGregg accepted our money and failed to keep their customer happy. My expectations for this company, their customer service policy and their warrenty policy is poor.

Ok you can actually return that warranty anytime you want at any hhgregg, it will be prorated, i would fight for the whole amount but see what you can get. Just walk into anystore and tell them nicely you were not satisfied with the idea of the warranty and would like to return it, if they give you crap its because they dont want it returned, just NICELY say, i would like to return it thank you, if you complain then they might try to pressure you into keeping it. Georgia HHgreggs are very new and must service guys down there are hard to come by, but it should not take that long to fix, by they way what big screen is it?
