We contracted with Home Depot to install new front door and back door purchased through Home Depot. The first intaller proved to be incompetent. He destroyed new storm door by placeing "closer" at wrong location. There was no backing plate to take force of door closing and screwas tore out leaving gaping holes in lower door panel. He came at odd hours, staying until late at night. THe front door was hung improperly and he did not allow casement for storm door. THe back door did not do as well. He got grout color all over the white door, did not frame the door properly and grout the torn out grout he removed accidentially. The work should have taken one day. He strung it out for 1 month.

Pictures were taken to home depot of the damage done. The lady in the customer service dept that helped me was very co-operative, as was the manager of the door&windows section. The problem was not with Home Depot. The problem was/is with DNS. A company based in Texas that has a contract with Home Depot to install and do contractual work for them. After numerous calls both by me and customer service did we get a rsponse from DNS indicating they would be sending someone out to my house to look and correct any damage/replace any items that needed it. THey did not show and it took another month to finally get someone out here. They were just as incompetent. I expresssed my cocerns to Home Depot c/s and they contacted the owner of DNS who stated he would visit my home himself, as he had gotten a lot of complaints of incompetence, no shows etc.... He never came to my house either. No wonder company has a bad rep. After 2 other attempts at repairing/replaceing doors, adjustments etc, DNS returned labor charges plus cost of damaged storm door. The whole experience took about 5 months to endure and still has associated problems with so-called installation of storm door. Never again will i use Home Depots DNS or other compaines contractors to do any work for me. The head ache is not worth it. In fairnesss to Hp, the girls there were superb and cannot be praised enough.
