First , it started with SouthStar Mortage Services when i received my loan from them. They assured me that my financial status was acceptable to receive the loan. Then the company within a few months sold out to Homecomings Financial Services. When this company took over , they are now telling me that my fincanial status is not acceptable and i may not be able to refinance. So now i have tried other loan companies , and they have told me that due to this problem i will have to get someone else to co-sign with me, and i do not believe this is fair to me. If is was a default by either homecomings or southstar mortage then they should be held accountable for the situation at hand.

Due to the large amount of foreclosures lately, lenders have changed their terms and it is much harder today to get a loan than it was only 7 months ago. As little as 7 months ago, your financial status was probably enough to get or refinance a loan. However today it isn't. Homecomings is not the only one who has toughened their terms, everyone has. If you have been keeping your credit clean and paying all payments on time, I really feel for you. It is a ripoff that special considerations cannot be made for those who have done what they were supposed to do. I can understand no refinancing for those who have made late payments. Keep it up because hopefully there will be a break for those who have kept their credit clean.
